Please read the following. It includes what to expect from me, as well as what I expect from you. For very large requests or commissions, I may request that you sign a contract, so please understand.

I charge the equivalent of $30 USD an hour, and the price will be estimated based on the time to provide desired complexity but I am willing to haggle. Estimated man hours are provided below and are not representative of days necessary to complete the work. Estimated dates of progress and completion will be provided at time of commission, and may be adjusted if necessary.

You will be asked to provide 15% of the estimated price upfront, with an additional 50% upon completion of satisfactory linework. Three or more sketches of the subject and/or background and foreground (if requested by you) may be provided before linework proceeds, where alterations can still be made easily. Once lines are completed, only limited alterations will be made. Alterations beyond the scope of the original concept may require renegotiation. Within one week of approval of the sketch the lineart will be completed unless otherwise agreed upon.

Coloring follows, and another in-progress image will be provided once flat colors have been placed. Colors can still be altered rather easily at this stage. Once the color pallet is satisfactory, texture, shading, and other effects make alterations more challenging.

Upon the finishing of the commission, a low resolution version will be provided to you via Flight Rising Direct Message or via email for approval. Once the remaining 35% of the payment or remaining balance based on man hours is paid, the full quality image will be provided via email or Flight Rising direct messages.

If commissioning artwork featuring multiple characters, each additional character receives a 20% discount off their individual costs. However, the costs are still included in the estimation in the required intermediate payments after satisfactory completion of the linework, coloring, and the finished product. If additional characters are requested after any payments have already been made, the additional costs must be paid before receiving the finished work including the additional characters.

Upon completion of the commission, a physical print can be requested, though the printing and shipping will incur an additional fee dependent on the cost of production and shipping. Upon receipt of the final print, you are authorized to make use of the artwork for any non-commercial display purposes. Ownership of the copyright as well as the right to use the artwork for promotional purposes remains with me.

If at any time you wish to cancel your order or to request a refund, previous payments and fees can only be refunded up to 50%. Please understand that the effort to create what was made cannot go uncompensated. What progress that has been made on the commission can then be sent if requested.

I reserve the right to refuse or cancel any commission at any time for any reasonable reason. You will receive a 50% refund on previous payments, and the progress made on any agreed upon commission will be provided to you in its incomplete form.
