Typical Story is going to be a rather lore-filled KingdomLocke based on the 2.0 ruleset, with some tweaks as I feel fit to keep me engaged and not burning out early. I'd love to give a quick shout out to Humdrum for making such an amazing challenge, and Jaspernoir for filling my day with enough stories of her dragons until I finally caved and decided to make one myself. The sun had barely started clearing its way from behind the endless water, most dragons were still asleep happily in their nests- still hours from the time to get up and greet the day. Not this trio. "So, um, Jen- I say this with love and respect and as your bestest friend... Why do you get to be the Queen? I think Chimera and I are just as competent!" "I'm the oldest, and the wisest. Isn't that like the number one thing that Queens are?" "... No, actually I think that's usually the old kooky wizards-" “Zyzy!” “-that’s not an insult to you, I’m just [i]saying![/i]” As the young imperial continued to assure her friend that it was fine, and that really she was the most queen-ly out of the three of them anyways, the sky finally lit up with the sun. They had a long way to go, having scouted a spot to make camp all the way by the Moonportal, and since Chimera refused to carry anything heavy while flying that meant they added a few weeks onto their otherwise short journey. Each dragon in the trio wanted their names written in history books for centuries to come, and that meant decidingly not living in someone else's shadow and instead clearing their own paths. In a vote of two to one, that also meant moving far, far, away from home. There were certain tragedies ahead, as was there in every story of even the strongest kings and queens and knights, but the trio knew that as long as they stayed together they’d be stronger than whatever foe they faced. I'm terrified of the dice lords, I beg them not to murder my dergs right away. [emoji=d20 size=1] [b]6. Large Quest time![/b] Pick three dragons at random. They have to go on a quest now. Raise all of them a level. Roll a 6-sided die for each. If it’s a 1, They lose a life or they’re exalted as they were lost in the mission. [i]During Quests, dragons are invincible and cannot die in coli.[/i] [emoji=d20 size=1] [i]4, 6, 3[/i] They all survive!
