Heyyyy, it's me, finally updating this thread after 6 months. How long will it be until I update it again? Who knows! I still have plans for this story, and I still don't have my dream hatchling, so prepare for this thread to continue at the slowest pace possible (: Hope everyone's been doing well!
Female hatchling has been claimed, but the male is still available as well as the previous nest's female if anyone wants them!

Months passed as Charybdis and Phorcys’s daughter grew, until one day, she was no longer a hatchling. Despite her maturity, she remained as bonded as ever to her father, acting as his eyes and helping him navigate the world one day at a time. Like she knew he would, Charybdis watched as Phorcys grew accustomed to his altered abilities, learning to use his remaining senses to compensate for those that were taken from him. The sea goddess herself, however, refused to adjust. Just as Phorcys had been unfailingly devoted to helping her gain freedom, the goddess vowed that she would not rest until Typhon’s wicked magic had been undone.
Now that their daughter was old enough, she would occasionally make trips to the mainland alone, a habit that sent Phorcys into a nervous frenzy of pacing until she returned. Charybdis, on the other hand, encouraged her daughter’s independence, knowing she was more than capable of fending for herself. Although she knew it would crush Phorcys, the goddess secretly hoped that their daughter would find happiness and a life of her own on the mainland, and yet, she always returned. Recently, she’d begun bringing information back with her -- tales of dark magic, reversal spells, rumors of Typhon’s movements and cures for his victims -- all information that she hoped would aid her mother in breaking Phorcys’s curse.
When two eggs appeared one day in Charybdis’s nest, her daughter’s loyalty never faltered. She helped raise her younger siblings without complaint, keeping them occupied while Charybdis stewed over the latest news from the mainland, or spent hour upon hour trying new ways to remove Typhon’s magic with her own.
As the two younger hatchlings grew, however, it became increasingly apparent that Charybdis’s older daughter had outgrown her hatchlinghood home. She was finally ready to journey to the mainland and find a clan of her own, a place to settle down. Phorcys was unsurprisingly devastated, consoled only by the fact that his daughter promised to return often, and would never truly forsake her birthplace, her heritage, her home.
As she watched her daughter depart, Charybdis realized that this was the first of her offspring that had truly felt like family. Despite her callous heart, the sea goddess would miss her daughter deeply, and would await her visits anxiously. For the first time, she felt pride in her offspring, pride in rearing a daughter that was selfless yet strong, mortal yet resilient.
