Kantaira had come back to the kingdom and rallied their royal, their queen, seeking her pity- and was surprised when Agua rose to the call, that the little fae would lead the charge herself to win back the lost veilspun. The deaths of her children had changed Agua, and the rescue of her daughter had stripped Agua of any sort of remaining narcissism the little fae had held in her heart. She was a mother now, she had children waiting for her back at their nest... she had to be careful, had to be kind, had to be more than she ever dreamed she could be, to be what they needed from her. She had to be a diplomat, had to be cool-headed and calm, had to understand nuance and subtlety... If there was a way to win Plum's safe return she would find it. She had children waiting at the nest for their mother to return. She had a kingdom to guide. But violence would bring about the end of Agua as she was viciously torn down from the sky by savage beastclan enemies before debate could even begin. The tiny fae could not withstand the violence, and when Kantaira found her laying still, there was a sack next to her containing the unconscious Plumbell. Gathering them both up, Kantaira saw an opportunity. [center][item=Lawn Decoration] Backstabbing [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/66669956]Plumbell[/url] is exiled.[/center] Both the corpse and the veil were placed into the sack, and a hole was dug by the tundra, whose injuries had been so severe as to warrant the compassion of friends who'd fallen to protect her. Kantaira had to protect [i]herself[/i]. The feelings she'd developed for Styx had proven to her that trusting someone to save you surely meant you would lose them. She had been Styx's Charge. She was responsible for the giant guardian's death.... and now she was responsible for two more. [center][item=Sturdy Wooden Beam] Quest Well uh. Kantaira levels to 8.[/center] When she returned to the kingdom, there were only two hatchlings - the third having disappeared completely and without a trace. Kantaira's heart swelled with pride at the sight of the little fae and imperial as they rough housed together and played, and- while she nursed her broken wing that might never be able to support her to fly again- the simple tundra found she had no where she wanted to go. What a rollercoaster oh my gosh!!! I'm so very intrigued to see how this unfolds more- poor Plum!! Kantaira is becoming my little favorite, but if I say that too loudly there might be trouble in the future
