Jojishi the reason they start off as basic is because the parallel genes do not transfer over, same reason they cannot breed with other ancients is because of the incompatible genes
a simple solution to the aforementioned issue would be make parallel genes cross compatible - if your dragon has jaguar, and the ancient has jaguar as an available gene, then feasibly the ancient should have jaguar transfer over into the breed change

I have a female and a male that can't breed... when I go to breed them it shows the father and mother but one is always greyed out! Whats up?
