We use the pink ones to encourage gathering of flamingos all around the village for filter feeding. Sometimes you can just see a shallow saline lake filled with fake flamingos and the occasional real flamingo vibing next to them for comfort. But solitary flamingos are very rare and are on their own for a very short time. They've learned to associate the fake flamingos as landmarks for good feeding grounds.
