((OOC: All Nature flight members welcome. Others, please PM me if you're interested. I'm not going to set any rules for this besides the golden one--RP with others as you would wish to be RPed with :). You can pose as long or as short as you wish, and I expect most people will post every couple of days. Don't worry too much about waiting for someone else. This is supposed to be a low-key, low-stress RP environment, where those of us who are a bit rusty can get back into the swing of RP or learn how to RP dragons in FR if you haven't done it before.))

Perotsiark was, as always, up before the sun touched even the Lightbringer's domain. She left her strangler familiar in the lair, sleeping off its latest meal--though she couldn't help swishing her tail against the strange...plant? Animal?, just to watch it twitch away from the contact. Perotsiark would have to make it up to the organism later, but for now, she couldn't help but supress a chuckle. It was a new day!

Leaving her lair (and still-snoring mate) behind, she wandered out into the lush Everbloom gardens and began to stretch, casually reaching up to leave claw marks on a tree near the lair. Marking territory was important, especially with all the new dragons in the lair. Nominally in charge of the mostly-tundra group, she considered speaking to the nearby dragons to see if some extra space could be made...but just then, the sun rose over the Gardens, dappling the ground in shadow, and she decided it could wait.

After a long drink from a nearby stream and her morning abulations, Perotsiark wandered further into the gardens, headed toward a nice, large sunning rock. She peered around the foliage, grinning to herself. It was, at least currently, unoccupied. Glancing around and seeing no one, she made several un-lady-like bounds toward the rock and then scrambled up to settle herself on top. The rock was not very warm, of course, but Perotsiark was used to backing down in front of larger or stronger dragons, and the fact that the rock was unoccupied meant that she could sun herself until one of those other dragons came along.

After a few moments of scratching an itch by rubbing herself against the rock, she proceeded to sprawl out, belly-down. Idly, she began sharpening the claws on her right forepaw on the rock.

Here among the leaves and tress her speckled green hide blended perfectly as she hung from on the the shady branches. Her wings were folded around her like a cocoon, making her appear like another plant at first glance. It remained still and peaceful until the fae finally decided to wake up. Her wings slowly unraveled from her form, her two eyespots being revealed high above. Her real eyes opened as the girl yawned, looking around from her current point of view. As she got her barrings, the face of her nature sprite fluttered in front of her. "Morning Lei." She muttered, pulling herself up onto her branch as she unraveled her tail. Her fins rippled as she shook awake, now as alert as ever. She looked down at the ground below, seeing if anything new appeared. All that she saw at the moment was the water shining below. Canopy didn't take long to act and open her wings wide and jumping off her perch, gliding down right to the water's edge. @MTC

Shaking her head, Tenasserim plopped herself down at the shore, yawned and began to groom her fur. After a moment she turned slightly, evidently surprised by the presence of another dragon, especially one she hadn't noticed. "Erm, sorry." Her voice was slightly rougher than usual, mostly due to her allergies. Being a nature dragon, she shouldn't really get them, but apparently that wasn't entirely true. She gazed down at the much smaller dragon, who seemed delicate and light next to her huge, furry frame. "Didn't mean to ignore you." @mtc @113shoe

She had woken up only a few minutes before and her mind was already racing ahead of her. She had to get this and this and this, and oh! And this done by the time the sun set once more on the horizon. Not that anyone could guess what this and this and the other this was. Probably not even her if you were to ask what was her plans for the day. They were constantly changing. Not that the tiger striped spiral cared. Her plans were her own and that was that. So what if they changed at the drop of a hat? Plans shouldn't be so rigid. Sliding into the water, she gave a friendly call to all the other dragons already there. "Lovely morning isn't it? So bright and shiny and early! It is glorious!"

Her leaders had sent her to the Ashfall Waste, to deliver a message to a clan leader. She had done so and was now back on the turf of her homeland, much to her relief. As much as the Wildclaw loved to run and travel, nowhere beat home; the earth here felt softest between her toes and the air felt crisp as she inhaled. The chattering of voices caused her to raise her head, tilting it as she listened. She hadn't had a proper conversation in a while. The fire dragons were so temperamental that you had to tread lightly. One wrong word and you'd have to run from the onslaught of flames and curses. Trotting over, she was pleased to note the eye colour of each dragon present--two Tundras, a Fae, a Guardian and a Spiral--was the deep, pristine emerald of nature dragons. An easy going lot, able to hold a decent conversation without biting your rear. "Lovely indeed. It is good to be home." She slowed to a halt, dipping her head in a respectful greeting. Ayita, the Ragamouse familiar, peeked at the dragons from within the Wildclaw's hood before disappearing back within to fall asleep once more.

Canopy paused for a moment as she heard movement around her, looking up from sipping the water to find the source. It only took seconds to catch sight of the tundra that was coming towards the water. The fae remained perfectly still for a moment, unsure how to react with the newcomer. Most of her clan consisted of fae such as herself, nine if she counted herself. Even the clan leader was a fae herself. Come to think of it, this tundra did look like Fauna in the coloring. She was about to say something as she was finally noticed, but her words were halted by a spiral coming out of nowhere. The appearance made her jump a few feet, fins fanned out and all four paws on the ground. Even Lei reacted, darting away from her master and disappearing behind something on a rock. Typical sprites. Before she knew it, more dragons entered the area. Wildclaw, guardian, spiral. She even noticed that it was a tundra resting on the stone Lei retreated to. How did she not see this when she was waking up? For now she just calmed herself down, creeping back over to the edge of the water to take some in her claws and splash it onto herself.
"It's perfectly fine." She finally said to the tundra from before. "My name is Canopy by the way." Since all these new faces were present, she might as well introduce herself.

There was one of those little dragons that looked like insects--or were they insects that looked like dragons? Thankfully, the slightly confused Tundra only ate plants. Speaking of which, she bent down to collect a mouthful or two of the lush foliage before lifting her head up toward the other tundra. She took a deep breath, but the tundra smelled like nature--not like friend or enemy. So they probably hadn't met before. "Good morning," she offered both Tenasserim (@dragua) and Canopy (@113shoe). She even took a minute to blow a nearby bee toward the fae dragon. They ate insects, right? The spiral (@tide) got a few blinks--snake? Dragon? Oh, it spoke. Dragon, then. Right? Or did snakes speak? Sigh. One of these days, she'd have to wander over to the domain of the light dragons and ask them how they remembered so many things. Regardless, she nodded to the speaking whatever-it-was politely. The appearance of Smoke and Iyara (@najra @ambrosial) sent the tundra dragon clambering off the rock to take another deep breath. She relaxed slightly when the main scent came to her--nature. Earth and trees and forest. Still, the rock was abandoned, and Perotsiark immediately began to graze. Best look as if she had absolutely no interest in the rock. After a moment or two, however, the green dragon looked up at Iyara. "You smell like fire," she commented. "And trees. But more fire, just now." ((Edited to try to put a pic in...hopefully it won't ping everyone again :(.))

Tenasserim extended her neck to sniff at the firey-smelling dragon. "You do smell like fire!" She cocked her head to the side curiously, plopping herself down on the leaf-covered ground. She wrapped her tail around her and gazed at Iyara(@ambrosial) with her leaf-green eyes, squinting slightly to get a peek of her eye color under that hood. "Oh, you're a light dragon." She gave a hesitant sniff, continuing when she sensed no hostility in the air. "Are you on a journey?" Her eyes were wide with excitement. A slight hissing came from above as she spoke. Looking up, she saw a cream-colored spiral observing from one of the branches. His wings, which had eye spots much like a moth's, had a slightly scuffed brass contraption strapped to each of them. His chest was covered in a snug leather and brass vest, connecting almost seamlessly to the wing-machines. He was wearing clunky leather gloves covered in spinning gears, making it look like his hands were always in motion. Maybe they were, who could tell? A blue-tinted lantern clung to his tail, and he wore jaunty leather spats that didn't appear to have a function. His eyes were obscured by blue goggles as he stared down at them, appearing slightly bug-eyed.

I really hope they didn't hear me.

He was embarrassed. Speaking to others was one feat, but others hearing him sing?! That was something that Smoke never entertained.

He curiously gazed at the Tundra (@MTC) who flinched near him. Did she hear him sing about the fish too? He had never seen a Tundra so close, but he had known of them from the Trading post and other excursions.

"Fire smells bad," he grunted towards her, "but trees are good. I like trees."

Seeing the Fae, (@113shoe) he relaxed slightly. "You're green, like trees. I like trees."

Taking his claws from the pool, he stood up, focusing on the ripples. He was waiting for his chance for a meal.

*WARRRRRRGHAFG*
Plunging his head into the water, he grappled with a fish, teeth sinking into its flesh.
In his mind it was him and the water; all he wanted was to eat.

Lifting his head, he swallowed the last morsel of what remained. Did the others see? Who cares? It was him and his prize.

"Trees and fish," he finally gulped, "this is what makes me happy." before he lay back down near the shallow edge, wings splayed out next to him.
