"Be back for dinner," Dragoth growled, already turning to leave. "Go as soon as you can." With that, his voice faded along with the sound of his boots clicking on marbled floor and he disappeared at a turn, his cloak trailing behind him until that too, was gone.

Far below the castle, Argos looked up at it. A grand thing, sitting in the most protected area of the land. He couldn't help but scoff at it. What point was a giant castle when it was so damn obvious? Someone may as well stand on it and announce that it was the castle and wave a giant flag. At his feet, Raigal returned, chomping on a generous slab of meat.

Hannah ran back into her room as her father left, she looked under the bed at Fantasia. “ come on girl, we get to go on a little trip!”

Fantasia gave an excited smile and made little sounds of happiness as she hopped out from under the bed and into Hannah’s arms. Hannah then put her in her pocket, and held the scroll in her hand as she made her way down the stairs, and out the door. She couldn’t help but smile.

Erin and Aldaar walked around the markets, picking out his ingredients carefully. It was rare for him to have money to cook anything, which was why they were both very excited. Erin looked down at Aldaar, he suddenly felt bad for the familiar...... He was poor, and this familiar didn't have a rich or regular life........ Erin patted Aldaar's head, if only he had enough money to care for him properly. He shook the thought out of his head, of course, Aldaar just lives a normal life, maybe he just doubted himself too much.
...

When Erin was finished, buying all of the ingredients, he headed 'home'. After walking not very far, he looked up at the abandoned house. For years nobody dared to come in here. When it was abandoned, nobody wanted this house because the people thought it had some sort of disease. Turns out, it's just a house that was abandoned because of some sort of war. What he assumed anyway, when he got here the items were scattered everywere like somebody rushed to leave. Erin set down the ingrediants down on an old table, he then sat down on a rug in the middle of the room and he took in a deep sigh. Aldaar Sat down too and curled up in a ball.

Light eyes across the marketplace. A commoner on the go. Alone. Light eyes wandered from person to person. Mother, child, father, child, familiar. Familiar. For years she wondered what their use was.
Magnificent tiny creatures, or giant beasts. Mostly loyal to their partner. Many did she see in her short life. Many she adored, some she disliked, even some she hated. But never would she be able to figure out if there was a scheme. Homeless children, commoners, merchants, royalty, elves, dwarfs and what not walks this earth. Everyone would be able to be gifted.
Their king was not, like her. But she never minded. Magic is not defined by a familiar following you around. Not for her. It never was. There was a time when she wished for a familiar. But not anymore. She found her place, her very one. Her ability and hobby. Her life and fulfilment.
Lost in her mind, the young woman walked by the hunter.
Hunter. Without them, not many of them would survive the winter. But something was odd about him. Maybe the very obvious caiman by his side.
Standing almost next to the rather big creature, she stared into nothing. What a wonderful being was standing next her right now...

Argos pulled his bag into his lap, a master of ignoring everyone around him. Raigal was primarily his eyes when someone was coming towards him with the intent of probably harming him, but the Caiman just moved aside and climbed up the fountain to sit next to Argos when the woman got a little too close. "Hey," The Caiman greeted casually. At the familiar's speech, Argos looked up, eyes flicking across the stranger before returning to his bag, reaching inside and searching for something.

A surprised smile hushed over the small figure. Slender, hidden in a once white dress of low fabric. A simple leather belt holding three pouches. A tall bag over her shoulder, able to tell various stories. Wavy hair caught in a messy ponytail.
Her eyes glued on the caiman. Has she ever seen anything like this before? A slight movement. A light smell for everyone around. Sage, chamomile, fennel, mint, lavender - whatever she bathed in, it worked.
"Hello." An arm on her back, the other on her chest, she bows.

Hannah began walking away from the palace, when she was sure she was a good distance away from the palace’s watchful eyes, she let Fantasia hop out of her pocket, and walk beside her as she looked at the list of guests her father gave her.

"Raigal, don't talk to strangers," Argos muttered, though he made no move to stop the Caiman from honestly, doing whatever he wanted do. The hunter's attention was fully focused on the bag, digging inside for something he thought he had.

Raigal turned back to glare at Argos. "Zip it. You don't interact with anyone so I have to do it for you." Turning back to the lady before him, he was honestly surprised when she bowed to him. The Caiman dipped his head in return. "You new here or something? Don't think I've seen you around before."

Argos rolled his eyes, putting his bag aside when he found a little red gem, clutching it in his palm as he looked up to see a young lady walking by with a scroll she was looking at. Hm. The hunter resorted to people watching while Raigal chatted or whatever he was doing.

"Ah, no, I'm fairly new here. The city is not my favourite place to be."
Her eyes, focussed on the caiman. It would be rude to interrupt such a rare conversation. Yet her eyes wandered with the hunters. Resting one the woman behind them.

As Hannah walked along, she didn’t notice that the gem from her ring had fallen out, but Fantasia did, and she hopped on Hannah’s shoulder as she saw a man pick it up. “ Hannah! That man over there has the ruby from the ring your mother gave you! “ Hannah immediately turned to Fantasia. “ What?!” She turned around and pointed to the man Fantasia had nodded too. “ Him?” Fantasia nodded and Hannah started slowly walking up to the man.
