“It doesn’t matter. How’s perry? Is he alright? how did you get here??”

Lia finally pulls out of the hug and grins at Shadow sheepishly. “Ah, I truly have forgotten my manners. This is Lake and Olimaw,” She says, gesturing to each dragon as she speaks.

After the quick introduction, she turns serious again. “Is Perry with you?” She asks again, somewhat hopefully.

Shadow's heart was cracking...Lia had such a bright look on her face, even though her expression was serious. "Sigh...Our territory was attacked by these bone monster things...some fled...some fought to death...and some killed. I was able to escape, with my family dead. I tried to tell Perry to come with me, saying there was no end to this. But...he said that I should fly away while I still could. He stayed behind to fight the monsters. One scratched me", showing the bleeding cut on her arm, "and I had no choice but to fly away. Some followed me, before a point where they just turned around and ran the other way. Perry...I don't know what happened to him. The last I saw of him was when before I flew away. Lia...I'm so sorry...I was a coward to run away...but..." Shadow's voice began to crack.

Letting out a choked sob, Lia covers her mouth and buries her head in lake’s shoulder.

The air suddenly feels heavy as the only sound is Lia’s mourning. The forest even seems to go still, everything is silent and motionless.

“Perry-“ She hiccups, “He’s dead. I loved him and now he’s d-dead..” she hiccups again, tears forming two crooked lines down her feathery face.

Head still buried in the Imperial’s shoulder, The small dragon fails to notice the tan-colored pearl catcher, covered in blood appear into the thin air next to them.

“Lia!” He runs towards the wide-eyed skydancer who lets put another strangled noise and sprints towards him and hugs him, crying even harder.

“Perry!” She calls his name, breathless. “I- I thought you were d-dead!”

He gives her a sheepish smile. “I wouldn’t die if you were still out here somewhere.”

Racking sobs now quieted, Lia realizes all of the other dragons watching them and makes them look away, all of them suddenly careless of the situation.

Snuggling closer to Perry, Lia only then realized that he’s covered in blood with multiple life-threatening wounds.

“Lake! Olimaw, Shadow! Help him, he’s bleeding out, aren’t any of you a healer or something?!” Her voice rising an octave in panic, she starts nearly hyperventilating as she shoves Perry towards the others. “Help him, you worthless idiots!”

Olimaw wakes up with a start and grumpily walks out of his shelter. There he sees the cause of all of the yelling that woke him up. He looks at Lia and then says “ please don't yell again, i'm going back to bed. Also,” he says as an afterthought and flies to Perry leaving all of the others except from Shadow recovering from his momentary black out, “Nice to meet you, i'm Olimaw.”

Wounds quickly healing, Perry opens one eye and smiles.

Fully healed with only a few scars where the scratches were, The pearlcatcher stands up and adjusts the blue crown of flowers that fell off his head. “It’s nice to meet you, Olimaw.”

Scowling at the Guardian, Lia blinks furiously, still getting over the temporary blindness. “Jerk...” she mutters.

Perry pulls her closer though, and even Lia can’t suppress a smile.

"PERRY!! I-I'm so sorry! It's all my fault I-it's-" Shadow studdered. Perry stops her before she could finish her sentence. "it's ok shadow. It wasn't your fault. Besides, I'm here before you now right?" Perry said as he patted Shadow's head. "You really are like my big brother Perry!" shadow says with a smile. "Yeah." Says Perry with a laugh. Shadow smiled then turned around to meet Lia's gaze. "I'm gonna fix my injury up to heal and take the rest with me, while you and Perry talk and catch up," Shadow told Lia. Then she took a look at Lake and Olimaw, then left.
