Hi everyone!

I’m new to the Flight rising community and am looking for advice for what genes and colors to add onto my starter dragons - I feel like they’re looking a little bland. Does anybody have any ideas for what I can buy for them to make them look sharper? And any advice on how to learn about genes/scrying in general? I’ve learned about the Coliseum, but am still figuring out the genes and more personal aspects for the dragons.

Thanks!

First but most important (and actually only one) rule of scrying is to pretend that Imperials don't exist, unless the dragon you want to scry IS already an Imperial Other than this,it's more like trial and error, testing out a few genes and see how it looks like.Oh,and some of genes in some colors have quite unexpected and contrasting accent, something what can help you to figure out the right scry [emoji=coatl winking size=1]

@ScullyTargaryen Welcome to Flight Rising! Genes are really up to you, whatever you think works best for the colors your dragon has. Playing around in the scrying workshop to figure out what genes you want to add to your dragon is the best place to start. That way, you can finalize how you want your dragon to look gene-wise before actually buying them. They are fairly spendy, after all xD If you can't decide what genes you want, you can always ask the community for help too ^^ Lots of people love scrying XD Apparel can help dragons look their best. The Dressing room can help you plan your outfits for your dragons before purchasing anything ^^ It's a pretty handy tool~ Some scrys for you, though ^^

@ScullyTargaryen Hi - welcome to Flight Rising! You can dress your dragons up in apparel for now to make them look quite fancy. Or use some skins/accents that you can buy from both the Marketplace and the Auction House! You can look at my dragons if you need inspiration (but my lair is kinda messy and nowhere near finished so try not to trip over all the mess! XD ) Gening a dragon can take some time since some genes can cost a lot but there are a few out there that are quite cheap and look stunning at the same time! Here's an idea for your boy: Python / Spinner / Glimmer Now, this scry started off cheap but I have a habit of adding Glimmer to EVERYTHING! It's one of my favourite genes... but... Glimmer is what we call a gem gene meaning it costs a lot of gems. It would take a while to save up for it but it would be totally worth it on your boy! Python is a really cheap gene (that can also be found in the Coliseum) but it's also really pretty! Spinner is cheap and adds some yellow/brown to match the other two colours. And Glimmer... well, it's stunning!

Hi - welcome to Flight Rising!

You can look at my dragons if you need inspiration (but my lair is kinda messy and nowhere near finished so try not to trip over all the mess! XD )

Gening a dragon can take some time since some genes can cost a lot but there are a few out there that are quite cheap and look stunning at the same time!

Here's an idea for your boy:

Python / Spinner / Glimmer

dragon?age=1&body=53&bodygene=23&breed=2&element=1&eyetype=0&gender=0&tert=50&tertgene=10&winggene=16&wings=24&auth=7e863bf9a6f6eaaa04d74ab5717440bc3f13e9ee&dummyext=prev.png

Now, this scry started off cheap but I have a habit of adding Glimmer to EVERYTHING! It's one of my favourite genes... but... Glimmer is what we call a gem gene meaning it costs a lot of gems. It would take a while to save up for it but it would be totally worth it on your boy!

@ScullyTargaryen Hiya! Welcome to Flight Rising, it's awesome that our community is growing so fast! Here's couple tips & tricks I can give you for scrying up your progens (starter dergs). 1. As you probably know, you got to customize two of the three colors on your first dragon, and the second dragon is random. If you end up not liking any of the colors you got or want a change of pace, you can buy a Tri-Color Scatterscroll on the gem marketplace (or auction house for treasure) to randomize their colors again. Just keeping that in mind if you can't find a nice scry! I'm a G1 lair, meaning that i collect dragons without parents and gene them, so I do a lot of scrying. I'll make a few cheaper scries, and then some more expensive ones. Some genes have accent colors (ie: lionfish/noxtide, skink/spinner, poison/toxin) that can look really matchy with other colors. You can also change the breed of your dragons but for simplicity I just kept them as Guardians ^^ skink/spinner/opal (skink and spinner can be brewed in Baldwin so if you're looking to save money, that's the way to go! On the other hand, opal is a pretty expensive gene. Ghost, the second scry, is a cheaper alternative!) Ripple (second scry) is a nice alternative to Wasp. And your second Progen: The tertiary color on this girl (leaf) is kinda unfortunate. I'd scatter her if you can't find a nice scry (or hey! leave the tertiary color basic and color her in apparel!)
