Taking her as his apprentice, Xanraa's power quickly grew to match her father's and, some say, to exceed it, but where Xensar had a rigid moral code of good and evil, Xanraa cared only for absolute power and control of life and death. For a long time Xensar blinded himself to Xanraa's darker experiments, refusing to believe that his apprentice was capable of such evil until he walked in on one of her little projects. She was attempting to create an Emperor that she could control completely and use to take over all of the known world, Xenser knew then that the dragon he had raised and trained was gone. All that remained was a power hungry monster. They fought each other then as rival mages, both were severely injured and Xanraa fled the clan's territory. She hasn't been seen since, but Xensar is sure she will come back someday to take revenge on himself and his clan.

I don't have any full mortal enemies in my clan as such, yet. (Although just you wait until I have a time dragon to oppose my paradox dragons...) However, there are, well, these two. Adam stabbed Blake, and hearing her cry out, Yang ran to her defense. Adam was ready for her, and with his signature finishing move, he cut her right arm off above the elbow. Yang trained for months to get used to a new prosthetic arm and get back into fighting shape, but her already firey temper is now out of control and she suffers from a tremor in her remaining arm. She says it best in her song Armed and Ready: "I am the golden one / Who burns just like the sun / Next time we meet is your disaster / I'll bring the punishment / Your song will be lament / Revenge, my happy ever after!"

Yang Xiao Long and Adam Taurus from RWBY.

Adam Taurus and Blake Belladonna used to work together in an extremist offshoot of the faunus civil rights group known as the White Fang. Adam was the leader of the splinter group, and though he was originally a passionate and just leader, he soon became a twisted, spiteful, egotistical tyrant whose only goal was to wipe out all humans and leave the planet of Remnant for faunus only. Blake, who had been his partner in battle and in romance, experienced this fall both in what he asked her to do and how he treated her. So she left him.

She disguised herself as a human and enrolled at Beacon Academy, with the goal of becoming a Huntress and changing the world for the better. While there, she became battle partners with Yang Xiao Long, a sunny, party-loving, maternal girl who was Blake's opposite in nearly every way. They complemented each other nicely, and together with Yang's sister Ruby and her partner Weiss, they formed Team RWBY. The four of them became quite close and got up to all sorts of shenanigans at Beacon.

But their happiness was not to last. A villainous group, allied with Adam's splinter of the White Fang, infiltrated Beacon and brought it down during the Vytal Festival Tournament for all the world to see on live television. Adam personally oversaw the efforts to bring members of the White Fang, as well as the monstrous creatures of grimm, to the school. And as a separated Team RWBY fought alongside their classmates to defend their school, Blake ran into her old partner.

He was deranged, simultaneously infatuated with and disgusted by her. They dueled, but he quickly overpowered her and promised to destroy everything she loved.

As if on cue, Yang arrived, shouting for Blake.

Adam stabbed Blake, and hearing her cry out, Yang ran to her defense. Adam was ready for her, and with his signature finishing move, he cut her right arm off above the elbow.

Blake defended an unconscious Yang and carried her away to safety. Unable to face Yang after what had happened, she ran away before Yang awoke.

Now Yang is plagued by nightmares and flashbacks of that night. Adam's glowing red eyes behind his grimm-like mask likened him to a literal monster as well as a figurative one. Yang trained for months to get used to a new prosthetic arm and get back into fighting shape, but her already firey temper is now out of control and she suffers from a tremor in her remaining arm.

She says it best in her song Armed and Ready:
"I am the golden one / Who burns just like the sun / Next time we meet is your disaster / I'll bring the punishment / Your song will be lament / Revenge, my happy ever after!"

The clan's resident cult felt threatened by Valda's presence and power. They have their own political designs, and omg what if she opposed us? Better preemptively take her out! So they tried. They chose a cult member, Lyra the nocturne, to "permanently" cripple Valda and she is basically comatose. Feis, one of the most quiet and eerily cheerful dragons in the clan, was enraged on behalf of his mate. His goals in life are now such: Destroy the cult, Destroy Lyra, and heal Valda. Valda's other friends are helping him. Lyra, for her part, is pretty much terrified but she has the whole cult backing her. Her goal is now to get rid of Feis and the rest of Valda's friends.
