Quirk: Hard Light
She can manifest bars of solid light and sync their appearance and behavior to whatever music she’s listening to. Their color depends on her mood and is for aesthetic purposes only. This ability has a limited range; about 20ft. If she over-exerts herself or is disrupted by a high pitched frequency she goes “static”. In this state she is more subdued and can only produce what looks like physical white noise. She doesn’t know why high pitched sounds seem to short-circuit her Quirk, she’s just kind of accepted it.
Quirk Type: Emitter
Strengths: (At least 3, no more than 6)
1. Has a really good sense of rhythm and is working on applying that knowledge practically.
2. She’s not afraid to ask for help/enjoys cooperative work
3. She is willing to work hard on a skill to improve it, whatever that may be
Weaknesses: (At least 3)
1. If she uses her external speakers during combat, it’s possible for her to telegraph her attack pattern to her opponent. If she doesn’t use them, her music might be too loud for her to hear teammates.
2. She doesn’t need music to use her Quirk, but she has come to rely on it too much.
3. She has a lot of fun with her powers, so sometimes she doesn’t take a situation seriously.
4. If she over-exerts herself or is disrupted by a high pitched frequency she goes “static”. In this state she is more subdued and can only produce what looks like physical white noise. She doesn’t know why high pitched sounds seem to short-circuit her Quirk, she’s just kind of accepted it.

Spending time with her best friend
Personality: At her core, Vib is a friendly, outgoing girl who wants to have fun and kick butt while doing it. She’s very extraverted and as such loves being around people. That could be just one person or a group of friends, doesn’t matter. She enjoys getting to know new faces and tries her best to get along with whoever she meets. If someone happens to make a bad first impression she’s willing to forgive an honest mistake. While she is in “static”, Vib is more subdued than usual. She gets less talkative and prefers to distance herself. She wouldn’t admit it, but she doesn’t like appearing vulnerable in front of most people. The only one she is willing trust in this state is Eli. Vib also loves sharing her music, and will gladly lend you her headphones so you can hear what she’s listening to. Just don’t be surprised if she doesn’t respond right away while she has them on.
Roast Your Character in a Sentence: You think the ‘personality-switch’ thing is original or something? Where’d you pick that up from, Character Trait Walmart?
What Your Character Would Do If They Had the Option to Eat the Last Klondike Bar:
Absolutely eat it, she would do anything for that Klondike Bar. She’d fight you.
Backstory: Vib’s parents decided to move to her mother’s home in Japan when she was very young, so while she was not born in the country she has lived there most of her life. She was young enough that she had no trouble picking up the language (it helped that it was already being spoken at home) and she really doesn’t remember anything in her life from earlier than the move. She was always an outgoing kid and had no trouble picking up a friend who would later become her most important; a boy with a dog transformation Quirk named Eli.
She really began to look up to heroes, especially after her family’s move. Of course, every kid played hero with their friends. What wasn’t to admire about them? The flashy costumes, the incredible mastery of their powers, their mission to protect those who could not protect themselves, to her heroes were the definition of what it meant to be a great person. She was so excited for Eli when he manifested his Quirk. Only a few weeks later she came to him showing off her light tricks. That day they talked about what their hero names would be, and he gave her the nickname she would carry forever. They knew they were going to grow up and be heroes together. Of course, she later learned that you don’t have to be a hero to make a difference in the world, but she never let go of her dream.
Vib seems to get her light powers from her mom, who can bend light using lens-like structures in her skin. Her father could manipulate radio waves, and often amused her by changing radio stations with no more than a wave of his hand. He actually went and bought a radio for this specific purpose. Her father nurtured her love for music all through her life. He's the one who taught her to use music to better control her Quirk when she was first learning. She was probably closer to him than almost anyone. Vib really thinks she can make a difference, and both her parents supported her decision to apply to UA. She is nervous about what is coming ahead, especially because it means leaving Eli behind, but she feels she is ready.
Example of your roleplaying style: Capall had no idea what he had gotten himself into.
After the stories Sirius had told him last Starfall he'd been urged to go check out Arcane's territories in person. True, he wanted to learn all he could about his birth Flight, and he supposed now that included all the weird occurrences and now possibly a secret agency covering things up?? But this was just...too far. Everything about what he was doing now set his anxiety on edge. He shouldn't have followed those dragons, and he certainly shouldn't have come into this facility. And it wasn't like there was an easy way out now, oh no. He had trapped himself in here, alone, trespassing, probably to be discovered and terminated-
Something fluffy and glowing pressed its round face into Capall's side while he was busy panicking. Okay, maybe he wasn't alone. He ran a talon through his companion's thick fur. He was lucky his Starbear, Cozmo, had managed to keep pace with him on this foolish mission. Okay, he had to think rationally. Yes he was stuck in here, but what was his next step?
Capall considered the vent when he felt the warm air against his frills. Sure he was small enough to fit in there, and Cozmo probably was too. But if the vent was expelling warm air who knew where it could lead? To a horrible fiery death, probably. While not the stealthiest option, Capall decided the route of less potential bodily harm was to wander the halls.
Fun Fact about yourself IRL: I love writing stories, but they happen almost exclusively in my head and rarely make it to paper. I’ve also been in marching band for six years.
Other: Her headphones have an external speaker function
She loves using anime openers because they “have good combat energy”
She has tinnitus, and always likes to listen to something on low volume to mask the sound
Her eyesight needs correction but she usually wears contacts
I drew her in the boys’ uniform for fun, it feels more like her
All of the rules are important
