I absolutely love the edited version of this gene! Unfortunately the current one looks too awkward in all cases I've seen for me to ever want to use it, so definite support for this change :)

gosh, these edits are amazing... i'd probably buy the gene if they looked like this!! tbh the snappers look terrifying right now (where are their organs???) but you made them look so so so much better <3

If the gene looked like the anatomy and liquid fix I'd actually enjoy it a lot more. It looks just like what the gene description says.

This makes soooo much more sense with the "thin layer of liquid" description. The original is a large pool that would either displace or completely replace most of the dragons organs lol, not a thin layer of fluid. Also yes fixing the anatomy errors with the fake transparent parts!!! The spirals were some of the worst imo. When I first saw it I immediately thought "wait, that's not right. Did no one bother to look this over?"
Like it's a cool idea for a new gene (ignoring the fact that there's tons of accents/skincents that look identical), but the execution on it could have been so much better... I'd love if they implemented these changes, but I don't think it'll ever happen

It feels rushed, honestly. Like they turned to one artist and demanded a gene in a week. It looks great because FR's artists know magic probably, but still rushed. Maybe if that's actually the case, they'll be more open to making adjustments.

Will he ever stop experimenting with magic? We don't know, but all the dragons he's accidentally transformed from other things don't mind so much.

I don't think they should change the gene, but I honestly like your version more than the actual one.
I would have also liked it if it was a bit more like this (without the dolphins):
