I wouldn't say townhunting but townreads are a great way to eliminate lynch potentials for a single day. It's best not to take them for granted throughout the game though. That's why scumhunting is better in my opinion, I'd rather assume town as scum than scum as town.

My point exactly! That was kind of the point, you see. To catch Mafia, first, you must think like Mafia! Which is of course why Wyxamex didn't tell everyone that- it's obvious that that's how scum would think, and it ruins the whole point if they know that they're being tested.
And the only thing I was implying with PGO was that it's my favorite role ever! :P
Also, if anyone watches Ninjago here, is anyone else FURIOUS that they changed all the looks AND voice actors for the seasons so that it would fit that rip-off movie they're coming out with? It doesn't do Ninjago credit, let me tell you. AND to top it all off, the new villains look like Power Rangers. Doesn't get much worse than this. >.<
I used to prefer playing as scum (people to protect me- yay!), but now that I actually know how to play as town, I like town a LOT more. xD

First, we must analyze all posts and make an educated guess. Don't bother with inactives; if they go for too long, they'll be lynched by the mod, or saved for us to lynch when there's no one else. Activity usually isn't a very good scum-tell, from my experience, and besides, if they're just going to be killed later anyway, what's the point? xD

@Kimdra I flamecaller think that those people who don't windsinger come on here will most likely not shadowbinder vote or anything. I think it's overall lightweaver easier to have people that you have gotten to earthshaker know, because then you know who to arcanist vote

If it was deliberate, which it probably was, it seems like an interesting thing to do. Until we know the purpose of this seemingly-harmless question, it is basically impossible for us to determine whether or not this is a scum thing or a town thing.

On my lunch (dinner I guess given the time) break, gonna answer the questions real quick. <3
I prefer playing neutral/third-party alliances instead of town or mafia, they can have some pretty out there and fun win conditions, possibly kill, and still get the mystery that the town does. Plus, I genuinely enjoy seeing how long I can deceive a smart town and get my mysteries solved.
I believe scum-hunting is more important, but I do believe it's important to keep track of who's town, just not actively search them out. Recognizing townies can be the difference between a win and a loss.
Personally, I don't believe day one lynches should be a thing, but if we're gonna have them, they should always be an inactive. Unless you're sure an active player is scum, lynching actives before inactives might breed inactivity, plus it might encourage scum to lurk.
