Okay, I have always wanted one of these but I've been too intimidated to order one because I am super confused as to how this works...but I am going to order one, and I hope I do this right! please tell me if I am sending the wrong things

I have a question, would it be possible to change the color of a tree, or a plant? Like a different hue? For example, could I get a Red Maple tree in the Autumn season to be a darker red? Or have a Miniature Potash Peach to be red?
