So, I have made a FailSkin. Several FailSkins, actually, none of which actually stuck with my original idea. But whatever. I had fun. Lots and lots of fun.


This was my first one. I don't really have a name for it--Lightning Pearlcatcher? I guess?


This was me having fun with giving a Ridgeback a lightning nose. That's the name too--Lightning Nose. I am a veritable well of creativity. :P


This one's a bit more complicated, explanation-wise. Us Lightning folks are very mechanically-minded, so I decided to use various types of metal with our lovely lightning-type-colored eyes. I had SO MUCH FUN with this one. It makes me all happy and smiley. (And I wanted to tint the lineart, but my computer farted and wouldn't let me for various reasons. :( ) It's called Copper Coil.

So. FailSkins.

[quote name="Undel" date="2013-07-01 04:12:26" url="main.php?p=mb&board=skin&page=1&id=231416#231416"]The use of texture is discouraged.[/quote] don't mean to sound like a backseat mod, but this'll likely get your skin disqualified. if you're looking to add a little texture/depth to your skin, you might try a stippling technique with a low-opacity brush. you can even accomplish this with a basic round brush and mouse if you're patient enough. little speckles can be used to indicate scales, and small lines can look like fur or feathers. most importantly, your skin will look truly unique.

I do have one question though...
How do you put the skin into a reply?
Meaning, since that was probably confusing.
How do you get the skin to show in a comment? Wouldn't it have to be on the dragon to be able to be seen? Or is there some way that I have no knowledge of to do so?
Please help!
