Xenith poked her head out of her workshop. Smoke and hot fumes poured from her cave high in the cavern. She flicker her silver wings in dismay as she realized what day it was. The celebration! She hissed inwardly.

The tattoos of flames on her wings danced as she glided down, spiraling quicker and quick towards the stone bridges and walk ways below. Beautiful lanterns full of cyan light and yellow streamers covered every open space. There was quiet talking between the dragons there and light laughter as they spoke, a few young dragons popped in and out of caves hunting for sweets and fun. Xenith wasn't really concerned on the social aspect of this party, she was not the talking type.

Silent but rebellious she was, quick and clever too. She rose quickly to chief blacksmith for her raw talents and abilities but her rebellious nature tended to draw trouble her way. Such as her mother and father disowning her when she gave herself tattoos or the fact that being a blacksmith was not a high-class enough job for a noble like her, but she didn't care.

She tilted her wings and joined the fray, flying into a Café made specifically for charring things.

Blackthunder peered out of the curtains worriedly. Her chest twisted in a knot of anxiety and irritation at the thought of her grandmother coming to visit.

Her father seemed rather calm for such a terrifying presence coming to greet them but perhaps that was because of the numb loss he has felt in his heart since Lapis betrayed him. Bt was never close to her mother but the betrayal still hurt like a festering wound. Bt thought perhaps the whole thing would finally make them a quiet peaceful family, but her father's depression caused nothing but drama. Still, they are both clawing their way to the tranquility they both seek.

Bt clicked her claws against the stone floor and waited, watching for any newcomers in the clan. Dreading the cyan eyes of her kin.

Nebula finally got outside of the lair. She squinted her eyes as they adjusted to the sunlight. She smiled. "The celebration is here!"
She quickly ran back inside and put on her glasses, and ran outside again without waiting for anyone. Lanterns illuminated the dark sky. She ran quicker through the crowd of dragons, excited to see whats going on.

Darksky and Abyss landed with a quick flutter of feather against skin on a particularly large stone balcony, near the further, quieter areas of the large celebration. They had traveled from their faraway home in the lands of the Shadowbinder to here in the core of the Stormcatcher's clan. They had been right on time--not a moment too soon, nor too late. Just like they always did. Abyss turned his head to his mate and stared lovingly into her eyes. They were newlywed, and both sought to enjoy their first ever celebration at a foreign clan. Darksky returned the gaze and a hopeful smile. "Let's not keep them waiting!"
Together they walked briskly to the heart of the party, hearts beating quicker with each step. They emerged into a swirl of cyan and yellow, lights, laughter and a view that combined, left them speechless. "...Wow." Abyss managed, his yellow eyes wide and excited. "Come on!" Darksky called out, rushing ahead of him and turning her head back to give him a seductive look. "Don't you want to dance?~" He looked at her and took a moment to realize how beautiful she looked tonight. All her feathers looked perfectly arrayed, her fur soft and bright, and her face full of joy and light. "Ha, alright!" He chuckled. He raced behind her and they made their way forward. The older dragons around them admired their glee as they were reminded of themselves when they were younger.
When they finally got to their destination, the first they noticed were the many couples who were already dancing, to a beautiful, fast-paced folk song. Near the front of the crowd, they noticed the musicians at work. A bright red Skydancer female was playing her fiddle passionately, to her right, a Guardian male with a keyboard, to her left a mysterious Snapper with the drums and a rather large Nocturne female playing the cello.
Before the excited couple got to begin their long-awaited dance, Abyss noticed a nervous Guardian in the far-off distance, keeping watch out for newcomers, and apparently looking for a specific individual. Upon further inspection, he realized they were female. Also quite beautiful (although not comparable to the love of his life, standing next to him, whose attention had been caught by the dragoness also). They couldn't help but think, Who is she?

Black Lightning raced through the crags of rock jutting out from the stormy seas, rushing towards the cave opening like a bolt of lightning. She landed with a thud, and almost all eyes were on the leader. She was now a good 25 years old, and had a big reputation, being feared and revered. Some dragons around the entrance bowed to the armored dragoness, and she gave a curt nod to them. The leader hoped she wouldn't give the smaller dragons heart attacks from her terrifying appearance and reputation. She walked into the cave and scanned the crowd, everyone glancing away from her as to not make eye contact. Everyone knew that her clan's eyes could by hypnotizing. She finally met his eyes. Her son's eyes. After years of his parting. She saw him.

Thundercrack was sitting outside on a ledge, looking out at the storm clouds. They reminded him of her. He wished she would've come tonight, but she insisted that she needed more time to cope with her brother's betrayal. How badly he wanted to slash Sandaa's face right now. He let out a low growl. It was so frustrating. Everyone knew he never hurt his clanmates, but yet he felt the urge to kill that pitiful excuse for a dragon. He sighed and laid his head down on his claws, trying to calm himself.

Xenith tagged down the Café worker and order a shot of FireBreath. This was going to be a long night and she needed to be at least slightly happy. Her unforgiving eyes followed another Fae as she bounded in through the cave entrance. Xenith noted that she was from a distant clan that was recently founded in the Arcane region, not that Xenith really cared. Another two dragons followed her, but instead of wandering they went straight to the ball room floor and started to dance.

Arc bounded into the dance, her long spindly legs carrying her beautifully through the spiraling dragons. Her form was flawless and many dragons began to clap to the beat of her feet and wings. The hired band began to sing faster and faster until the world was a blur for Arc.

Shadowsplash froze, cyan meeting cyan, his pushed past his daughter and walked forward carefully. Dipping his head to his mother, though she was his mother she was also a respected ruler and a powerful enemy, so no hugs came from him that day.

(bl will probably hug him like the idiot she is)
She looked at her son with a quizzical glance. "Why the straight face?" She said, grinning wide. "Let's paRTYY!!" She yelled, in excitement. Who cares if she had a reputation to uphold. She just wanted to party as hard as she did when she was with her clan. "Cmon!!" She yelled at her granddaughter. The intimidating Black Lightning from a second ago disappeared, replaced with the immature, loud, party animal she really was.

Thundercrack looked back at the slit in the cave when he heard his leader's loud voice yell out. The real party was about to start, although he doubted that it would be half as rowdy as his clan's normal parties. He sighed. He was gonna sit this one out. Normally he would be in the middle of the party, laughing at onyx's newest dance moves, or drinking with armageddon, but tonight he didn't want any part of it. Maybe he shouldn't have come.

Shadowsplash grinned, his white fangs gleaming. He spread his wings and loosened his tense muscles. "Alright then! Where to first? There is restaurant there with spicy lobster that's really good- oh wait you don't like spicy stuff -well there is a Seafood place by the entrance with some great sushi and then up a little bit is a few games like Bird Bones and Bead Toss..."

Blackthunder arched a brow. Her Grandmother and father just completely changed like flipping werewolves. She followed hem slowly, hiding her shock.

Xenith growled. That loud guardian just started yelling and more voices were beginning to join in. She ordered another drink (even though she hadn't finished her other one) for the sake og her patience and took both of them in her claws, hoping to find a quiet place where she could sip her drinks in silence. But not even her cave was quiet enough, with a huff she flew outside and sat down on a rocky ledge, watching the waves lap the Cliffside and listening to the thunder of a coming storm.

Darkness cloaked the rocky crags, shrouding the fae in comfy, silky black. A bolt of lightning brought her world to light and her lonely ledge was no longer lonely. The light had allowed her to see another dragon sitting within a few wingspans of her.

Awkwardly sitting there staring at him she cracked a smile and held out one of her drinks. "Want one?"
