I wasn't into Undertale at the time when I got this guy. He was prenamed and 5k when I got him. I knew of Undertale and it was clear he was once a fan dragon, but because I was a poor newbie, I couldn't afford a renaming scroll.
Lo and behold, about two weeks later I got into Undertale and already had a Sans! I dressed him up and he's been my Sans ever since:

I was looking at Earth dragons in the AH on April Fools day, and I saw this guy and bought him for his eyes owo Then I had a Hobbit marathon and named him Erebor for no real reason >> Then I dressed him up in Gold, and now he's my fan dragon for the lovely Kingdom in the Mountain.

I bought Nayru and Farore just as pretty dragons. When I was going to name them, I thought of the goddesses since I had a blue and green dragon of the same gender/species. I went on the AH to see if I could find a similarly colored red female imp (she was even fire element!)and the rest is history

i dunno if it counts, but i ended up breeding a dragon who unintentionally became a fandragon, though she belongs to someone else, obviously! as much as i dislike undertale, im curious to see how she'll turn out c:

I had hatched this man some time ago and named him after an alcohol since it was also a cotton candy flavor. Friend of mine said he looked like Booker DeWitt from Bioshock thus Im starting to dr e s him like so.

I originally got him so I could have a future Wind representative. However, when I was thinking of what to name him, I looked at his colors and they kinda reminded me of Yuichiro from Owari No Seraph, so I named him Yuu as a result
And a few months after buying him, I ended up getting a bunch of other OnS dragons to go with him
