I love how those bright blues fade into the purple of his wings, and how the purple sparkle in his crystal primary works marvelously with his secondary colour. [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=18305153] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/183052/18305153_350.png[/img] [/url] @Riisa and Atlas, because I've seen very few dark coloured butterflies and oh my god his poison and butterfly genes work beautifully together. I love the bright red splash of his spines and eyes, too. What an unexpected and beautiful colour/gene combination. She's so unique, I've never seen a dragon like her and I love it.

@Lightning I agree :D I've even seen instances where Butterfly accent colors help to make Tertiary colors fit better when earlier it was difficult to do so. Some of my favorite combinations are Poison/Butterfly/Spines and Clown/Butterfly/Gembond! I absolutely love how each Primary gene has a complimentary Secondary gene, yet they're still able to be mixed and matched with other genes in endless combinations without looking out of place! I'm increasingly impressed with the artists each time a new gene comes out~ There are so many beautiful butterfly dragons out there! It would take me forever to look through them all, and listing my favorites would fill the thread on its own. But I have to acknowledge some beauty when I see it! ----- @StarshipSally 's Hecate! The accent ties it all together with the soft red/purple roses; the subtle sparkles also make the Glimmer blend in rather than it standing apart! ----- @TheFlyingCat 's Muiri! Miuri is no exception, and when I first saw her I immediately thought of angels. A gorgeous snow angel! Her Butterfly wings give her a bit of color, the shapes within almost reminiscent of snowflakes, especially on her little ear frills! Her apparel shows her beauty and elegance, but also restraint, which fits her backstory perfectly. ----- @Liliabi 's Belemus! [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=6941747] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/69418/6941747_350.png[/img] [/url] I adore blue [i]endlessly[/i] (probably why I joined Water Flight haha), and of course purple goes beautifully with blue! Both the gentle blue accent color on the Butterfly wings and the light purple accent colors in the Crystal Primary make all of Belemus' colors [i]belong[/i] together almost seamlessly! Not only that, but the small circles on the Butterfly wings and the sparkles in the Glimmer and night silks all help, too. With Royal Butterfly wings and shimmery Night Sky silks, he sure looks like a prince to me! ----- @Shadow117 's As-of-yet-Unnamed Butterfly Featherbaby [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=18933689] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/189337/18933689_350.png[/img] [/url] Baby Skydancers are the most adorable hatchlings to me, hands down. Of course, matching Primary and Secondary colors are always a plus, but I love how the blue accent color on her butterfly wings matches her eyes! I also just realized that Skydancers' little magic-feelers on their heads look like antennae haha. What a cute butter-baby~ ----- I'll stop here while I'm ahead, whoops!

@kingsparrow Thanks for the mention! Her parents did me very proud when she hatched. I really was hoping for a triple navy, and that's exactly what I got. I had to breed change her though - since I like the fae eyes visibility a lot better than the guardian ones. XD
