As it stands, I have contacted each of you separately concerning studding your dragons, and I have heard back from all those that I've pinged. This thread will be my attempt to coordinate everything so that I can get my breeding project underway! If anyone is no longer willing to participate in this, please let me know. It was my fault for taking so long to set this up, so I completely understand if you're no longer interested in being a part of this.
But first, I think it's worthwhile to see the end goal of this project before we dive headfirst into it. That said, here is the dragon I am trying to breed:
He appears plain, sure, but that's because I'm unsure on his genes. Right now, it's all about the colors, which are thistle/red-range/thistle. Gender doesn't matter, really, either! It just needs to be a Wildclaw. If at all possible, I'd hope to have the dragon born in a Fire nest. As for the genes, this dragon is representing an OC of mine and I need the so-called "plain" genes to do that appropriately.
If it's of interest to anyone, the last dragon OC of mine, So'lekha, was similarly stripped of a few gem genes and turned out like this:
Which I think is pretty cool looking, imo. ^_~
Now, the crux of this project will likely be @Jaska's Thistle/Rust/Thistle Wildclaw male, Cremisius. He is so close to perfect for this that I am jealous!
The lovely lady next to him is @chambergambit's WC, Syren.
Finally, and if all users involved are willing, I would like to use the services of @Cyanea. They lend fire nests, and have plenty of positive reviews on this spreadsheet, in the "Reviews" tab. (Cyanea, if needed and if everyone is on board, I will submit a formal request via PM, I only pinged you here to make the potential lenders aware of your nest rentals and to allow them to ask questions of you directly should they so desire.)
Everyone has mentioned they will require collateral and has requested which of my dragons they'd like in exchange during the 5-day period their dragons will be breeding.
In exchange for the female, I will offer my beloved Monarch, who is now level 14, equal to Syren's level. In exchange for the male, I will offer Hibiscus, my pretty bright WC!
The only thing is, if I use Cyanea's nest for the breeding, you guys would probably want collateral from them instead of me. I am willing to offer my dragons still, that is, I would use them as collateral in place of any of Cyanea's dragons, namely because I trust that nothing bad will happen to your precious WCs while they are tending to the Fire nest. If something unfortunate did occur, then you would have my dragons as compensation for that.
If you'd rather talk to Cyanea about collateral from them instead of me, assuming everyone's ok with using their fire nest, then please feel free to do so, they have said they offer collateral dragons if needed (on this thread, for reference).
I'm also pretty much solely interested in the thistle/red-range/thistle baby, so if they have more babies than that, you guys can split them as you desire should you wish to.
If everything gets worked out, we breed the dragons, but the dragons unfortunately don't produce the baby I desire, I might come calling on you guys again! It's a lot of organization and may seem a bit confusing right now since the male, female, and nest are all owned by separate people, but maybe, if we work this out, you guys might be willing to give it another go in the future? If not, that's cool too, it's all up to you! :)
