On my mirror female, her eye color appears to bug out whenever I equip the Burlap Hood. She's an arcane dragon, so she should have purple eyes (and she does when I take the hood off), but whenever I equip this particular hood, her eyecolor seems to vanish.
Obviously, this is a hugely gamebreaking mechanic, so I figured I'd alert the authorities [i]immediately[/i].

The white eyes are intentional for this particular apparel piece, because we wanted to go with something a little more spooky. :)
