Gladekeeper and Plaguebringer both came into being before the Arcanist. (See here; the section on how Gladekeeper and Plaguebringer were formed begins with "In the time before the Arcanist's awakening"; i.e., after the explosion, but before the energies released by the explosion coalesced into the Arcanist.)

That's a hell of a parental relationship, isn't it? ;)

@Envelin, it has been a Thing for a very long time now. Although AFAIK, the biggest ship involving the Arcanist is with Windsinger.
