TOPIC | Hatchery Affiliate
Howdy! I'm pretty new but I got a lil' hatchery up and going because I can never just casually play a game I have to be the guy who gets really into it. ANYWAYS, I see Hatchery's all over have affiliates in their forum threads.

How does one go about becoming an affiliate? What stage/how established should you be before you ask? Are there do's and dont's? Any mistakes I should avoid making?

If you have any advice or words of wisdom I would love to hear them!

Thanks!

1. Ask any hatchery with affiliate links.

2. Leave a post free in your hatchery for affiliates and ask for them.

3. As long as you have a hatchery thread up you're good for joining.

4. As affiliate groups are all run by users they may have all sorts of different rules. Many include image size, bumping or "reasonably distinct from each other" hatcheries.

Being "affiliates" is generally just a way to continue to advertise your hatchery on other peoples' threads without them being upset about it and being supportive of each other (bumping). I'd suggest not having more than 10 or so (assuming graphics) because buyers are both lazy (too much scrolling!) and often on smaller screens.

Good luck selling!

I want to live in Theory. Everything works there.

Have you checked the Gem MP for Gene and Breed scrolls before buying an AH listing from me ending in 5g?

I have my own hatchery with one affiliate so far. Basically you include a link (banner, image, etc) to publicise your affiliate and they do the same, if they run an event you can publicise it, you may choose to bump their hatchery, and such things ^^
