TOPIC | How you manage Breeding Projects?
Hello! New to breeding projects. Didn't do a whole lot of color-seeking until recently. I'm curious how people organize and keep track of dragons while breeding for specific colors.

Me personally:

I've been using a digital whiteboard to keep track of weather a dragon is A (Above the desired color), B (below the color), or V (Checkmark, the color desired). After giving each dragon a letter for each color, (primary, secondary, tertiary), each dragon has a code like ABA, AVA, ABA, ect. And then I can pair them with the inverse code.

SO for example, A dragon one color above the desired primary would be A, two below the desired secondary B, and three below the tertiary B. ABB Dragon. Then, I check my document to see if I own a dragon with a BAA code.

Obviously, my method is fairly obtuse and not great. It's hard to keep track of lineages and it's hard to see at a glance any potential pairs.

So what do yall do?

Any answers are helpful ! Thanks.

Players use spreadsheets, genealogy sites and informative names depending on what "works" for them. Notes in bios, Lair tabs, cheap apparel item they all wear if moderns and regularly tossing them in the HDen are all options, too.

For what you've got right now you might consider a slightly longer name that references the lineage. With ABV taken something like:

Pair G: GXABV and GXBAV with all offspring GG(color mark)
Pair H: HXABV and HXBAV with all offspring HH(color mark)

Breeding would then give new pairs:

Pair GH: GGHH(color mark)

Regular culling and renaming as you get closer to your end goal help, too.

I want to live in Theory. Everything works there.

Have you checked the Gem MP for Gene and Breed scrolls before buying an AH listing from me ending in 5g?
