Hello all! I am embarking on my first little mini project, and I'm wondering if there are any good tools out there to help keep track of what I've done and what still needs to be completed.
I've been kind of trying to organize through flowcharts/spreadsheets so far, but I'm not sure if this is the most effective, and I would also love some broader instructions for how to work towards a goal that might take a couple of generations and involves keeping bloodlines apart to avoid inbreeding.

Thanks in advance for any links and advice!

Maybe this one helps? I used it to make a breeding card, and it'll show the gene and color possibilities.

I use
this tool to determine which pairs have the best chance of giving me the colors I'm looking for.
I'll usually have at least two completely unrelated pairs, and if the initial breedings don't work out, form more pairs with their offspring. (Possibly bringing in more dragons from other bloodlines if the ranges don't line up.) Giving dragons from a specific bloodline matching names (e.g. same first letter) can help keep things organized.
In general, it's better to focus on colors and breed/gene change later.
If you do decide to breed for genes/breed as well, keeping in mind gene/breed
inheritance probability can help. Many a time I've saved on having to buy treasure genes by getting an irishimcircuit parent.
Hope that helps, and good luck!

I don't know about any tools but in case you haven't seen it yet this is a great guide on how to go about breeding projects:
