there's a bunch of different ways to do it, a lot of people prefer playing on hard mode but there's quick solutions to medium, very hard and certain special puzzles as well.
here's the G&G guide masterlist, so something in there should help in some way. I'm pretty sure there's also a mentor sort of thing that people do on another thread as well if you need someone to talk you through specifics

G&G is now my go-to. I cleared my whole fairgrounds in half an hour using the Hard method. the extra hard method took more time and effort than I was willing to put in, but as long as you use the left-to-right thing and after the third row is clear, go by the colored chart in the Hard mode section of that guide (with the red, blue and green bits), you'll be a pro in no time. If you need any help understanding it I'd love to help - I was so lost and G&G is a great resource so I wanna spread the understanding.

RiotHyena already posted my guide (which has a troubleshooting section to help you out if things don't work straight out-of-the-box, by the way), so let me just let you know that if G&G doesn't work out for you, I'd at least advise you to switch to something other than Tidal, as it's one of the worst games for money making. Runestones, Mahjong, and Artifracture are all much better.
