DA links broke a few months ago. I used to be able to fix them by deleting everything after the .png and adding /intermediary/ after the wixmp.com bit as outlined [url=http://www1.flightrising.com/forums/help/2667033/1#post_38581359]here. [/url]this is no longer working.
So here's what I'm trying to use;

I see there is another .png in there but deleting it up until that doesn't work either. Can't tell if I'm missing something with "fixing" the link or not. I'm using imgur for now to get it to work but I'd rather not double-upload my art there if I don't have to.

You can't copy the link with clicking copy image address
To get the image link. Use inspect element and point to the picture. That will show the correct link
Well. Deviantart created a bot that just allows showing image just in the same site.

Sorry, DA "fixed" the urls again so you can't use them. Apparently this is intentional. I suggest finding another image hosting site. Imgur is still free and the urls work so it looks like you'll have to upload again.
It's possible DA will change again in the future (odds are good there's going to be a pay option to get urls) but so far I haven't heard anything.

I can't fathom why they'd intentionally prevent their images from being linked elsewhere! That seems like such an odd thing to have people pay for when there are other free options. Guess it's Imgur from now on for me!

Indiscriminate image hosting is expensive. Not only do you have to have the server space to hold all the data but the third party viewing (where you post the url on another site and people load that page instead of DA) eats up bandwidth.
Photobucket was originally free and last year it went pay.
