TOPIC | Accents and skins in Krita
I have literally no clue how clipping masks work nor what that is but I partially understand the concept of what it does in Photoshop. However, I have no freaking idea how to do what I need to do in Krita to make my accent acceptable.

Does anyone here know or use Krita to make skins or, in this case specifically, accents? I need all the help I can get because I am completely clueless when it comes to art programs.

I tried saving just the finished accent image as a .png, then opening it in Photoshop and pasting it there in the Pearlcatcher skin file and then the masking thing worked but for some reason (and I'm sure there's a good explanation but once again, I'm stupid and am not familiar with this enough to understand), the quality of that .png image drastically changed. Transparent spots that do not exist in Krita appeared in Photoshop and it looks horrid. I have no idea what to do and I really don't want those 10 hours I spent on this accent to go to waste.

If anyone knows what has to be done and could explain it like they're explaining it to a 2 year old, I would be very thankful.

@chatoyant I literally just had that open and I didn't understand half the things mentioned there but I may have figured it out just by randomly clicking things. That honestly speaks volumes about what sort of person I am hhhhHh
I can discus complex existential theories but can't concentrate when reading, rip me

Anyway, nonetheless, thank you so much for helping out!
