So I'm looking to make some images for my forum signature, but don't know what size(s) I should do. What's the best size for a single long image? A number of smaller ones?

The dimensions of the signature are 500 (actually I think 525 technically but 500 is a good baseline) px wide by 100 px tall. That would be your size for a single long image, and any smaller images should fit within that. Many people like making/finding 100x100 images for their signatures.
