XXX is a term used to describe a dragon that has the same color for all three of its genes. Eg: a dragon that has an Obsidian Primary, an Obsidian Secondary, and an Obsidian Tertiary.

XXY/XYX/XYY are terms used to describe a dragon that has the same color for two of its genes and a second color for its last gene. Eg: a dragon that has an Obsidian Primary, an Obsidian Secondary, and a Ruby Tertiary (XXY), a dragon that has an Obsidian Primary, a Ruby Secondary, and an Obsidian Tertiary (XYX), a dragon that has a Ruby Primary, an Obsidian Secondary, and an Obsidian Tertiary (XYY)

XYZ is a term used to describe a dragon with no repeating colors in any of its genes. Eg: a dragon with an Obsidian Primary, a Ruby Secondary, and a Shadow tertiary.

A "Near Miss" is a dragon with a color that looks similar to another one or more of its colors.

Hello @KiteTenjo62! That refers to dragon colors. XXX means that a dragon's primary, secondary, and tertiary colors are all the same! XXY means the primary and secondary colors are the same. XYY means the secondary and tertiary colors are the same. Does it make sense now? :)

Yep! Your triple white Skydancers are XXX dragons!

Dragons with two of the same color aren't too rare, but they're still worth a bit more depending on the buyer, how the third color looks on the dragon, and a myriad of other factors.

Just keep in mind that XXX and XXY dragons are worth a LOT more when they are Generation 1 dragons, especially when unbred.

In case this hasn't been answered...

Dragons with matching genes (same genes are technically not possible, but there are matching genes - Tiger Primary and Stripes Secondary, Petals Primary and Butterfly Secondary, etc) go for a little higher than dragons with mixed genes (e.g. Iridescent Primary and Eye Spots Secondary) due to the matching theme and more pleasant look. c:
