I've had this question for a while now, and I'm still quite confused about it. Whenever I'm equipping apparel onto my dragons, I notice that you can buy extra slots with gems. But I was wondering, does it only add one extra slot to that specific dragon, or does it add an extra slot to all of your dragons? And after buying the 50 gem one, how much does the second one cost?

It opens the slot to your whole lair. Costs are as follows:
7th slot - 50
8th slot - 50
9th slot - 75
10th slot - 75
11th slot - 100
12th slot - 100
13th slot - 150
14th slot - 150
15th slot - 200
16th slot - 200
17th slot - 250
18th slot - 250
19th slot - 300
20th slot - 300

As for how high up it goes in price each time around, I think it's around 25 gems? Don't quote me on that; my next apparel slot is 200 gems and I have 15 currently.

Can you use Gems vs treasure to buy new slots? Can I buy treasure with my GEMS?

this is a very old thread, so it’s generally better to make new ones rather then bring older ones (that are sometimes outdated, however this one isn’t) back
you can only get apparel slots with gems, but it is possible to trade treasure for gems with the community in the items for sale forums, the ratio is around 1:1000 currently
edit: little clarification edit, I have no idea if you meant apparel slots of lair/den slots so the stuff above is only for apparel slots, let me know if you meant something else
