Hello, I have a.. semi-urgent problem regarding the new colors on the color wheel.
A few months ago, I started a breeding project to get two dragons that would be able to produce hatchlings with a wide range of primary colors and black colors as the secondary/tertiary. I settled on purple and tangerine as the primary colors for the parents, because together they would cover the 'brighter' half of the color wheel.
Now with new colors being added, they will not produce the same colored offspring.
I need assistance in finding out which two primary colors on the new wheel would give me the most variety.
I think that there would be two-four combinations, depending on which 'side' of the wheel I wanted?
Additionally, how are the new colors distributed?
Thank you so much. this really throws a wrench in my breeding project and I would appreciate any help.
EDIT: Please ping me!

ppixelninja216 the new colour wheel has 177 colours, so the longest possible distance between two colours is 88.
here is the official chart that shows how the new colours will align in addition to the old ones. if you want to cover the 'brighter side', i suggest a range between something from the oranges and something from the blues. maybe switch the purple for seafoam?

PPixelNinja216 hello! I will try to help as best I can.
Colors will always be distributed by closest distance between colors, so the maximum range should be 89 colors, if I'm remembering right. SOOOO some ranges that will get you this max colors are maize-mantis, mantis-pearl, indigo-slate, indigo-taupe, sapphire-slate... really you could have any colors as long as they are opposites on the wheel.

denim Thank you for your advice!
I already have the purple primary dragon. Is there any way I could still use him (i.e will the color across from Purple on the new wheel still give bright colors/what is this color)?
Also, how do you figure out what the exact opposite colors are?
EDIT: Is the new color across from Purple Terracotta?

Yes, the color opposite Purple that includes the blues/greens/etc. is Terracotta.
http://fr.fintastic.net/ uses the new color wheel already, which makes it easy to experiment with ranges. I'll suggest Orchid and Carrot, since they're particularly bright and get you a lot of the purples and oranges. It's up to you though! :)

ppixelninja216 i bet the actual wheel of colours (which would visualise their distances better) is still a work in progress.
i counted the distance myself, and yes, terracotta seems to be the exact opposite colour from purple. if you want to start breeding immediately, though, i recommend you find an orange dragon (closest old colour in range), because it could be a little while before suitable terracotta dragons appear.
