I know Pokémon has been mentioned a lot, so I’ll only mention my fav games:

Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs
- Dolce Island (this is the piece of music that I feel the most nostalgic about)
- Cocona Village (pure good vibes)
- Rand’s House (this guy gives off good adoptive father vibes, so I vibe with the music)
- Tilt Village (one of my personal favorites)
- Mitonga Island (the theme is really cool)
- Faldera Volcano (the volcano theme of all time)
- Aqua Resort (gives off old Pokémon vibes, which I love)
- Mt. Layuda (I just love the name lol, but the music is good)

HGSS
- New Bark Town (the definition of nostalgia)
- Cherrygrove City/Mahogany Town
- Dark Cave/Ice Path
- Violet City/Olivine City
- Union Cave, Ilex Forest etc.
- Azalea Town/Blackthorn City
- Goldenrod City (iconic)
- National Park (this is by far the best music theme to come out of this franchise)
- Ecruteak City (very underrated)
- Burned Brass Tower (absolutely love how the music here tells the past of the city without needing a narrator or a voice at all)
- Bell Tower
- Lighthouse/Mt. Silver
- Cianwood City (seriously beautiful melody)
- Dragon’s Den

PMD:EoS
- Treasure Town
- Craggy Coast
- Northern Desert
- Crystal Crossing
- Chasm Cave
- Through the Sea of Time (love this song to no end)

Yes, I feel very strongly about all of these location themes. I started with gen 4, so listening to the music from these games gives me a lot of comfort. Sorry, for the very long text. I can shorten it down if it’s too long!

I’m very happy to see someone else who also likes guardian signs!
I never see anyone ever talk about this game, it definitely deserves more recognition like you said.

Also I never noticed that the islands names were musical references!! That’s so freaking cool

My opinion on this topic changes a LOT.. for most of my teen years I loved the theme for Zora's Domain from Twilight Princess.. these days though, if I had to name a favorite, it's a tie between the Vale of Tears from American McGee's Alice and Machine in the Walls from The Binding of Isaac: Repentance. I have a thing for songs that are both melancholy and have a catchy/speedy chorus that sort of belies the song's melancholy-ness, lol.

I have so many different game themes but specifically a lot of game location themes that mean a lot to me are usually because they are extremely nostalgic or the game left a massive impact on me.

The ones that I can immediately think of off the top of my head are:
Area 1 Rainbow Route from Kirby & the Magic Mirror
Commons Classic from Wizard101
Malone from Nancy Drew Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake
The Journey from WolfQuest
Moga Village at night from Monster Hunter Tri
Raindrop Flower from Maplestory
