For the monster collector/ brainy team-building stuff with a heavy grind I'd recommend Siralim Ultimate (Steam, mobile or Switch - you can even cross-save over them).
Yes, it might eat your time, your sanity and maybe your soul but with 1400+ unique creatures with different traits, the ability to fuse them and combine these traits, a good bunch of classes to pick from you can build an unlimited amount of different teams and breaking the game with crazy combinations - like mine which kills everything befor the fight even started XD Also if you are a loot-goblin like myself: It has a crazy amount of lootable stuff!

Other monster collectors where already recommanded but I truly must sign the Monster Hunter Stories recommandations! Both games are so good <3

I reccomend Wobbledogs. Wobbledogs is a petsim?? Genetics Sandbox?? Of sorts which you can raise a ton of cool mutated dogs. They can have wings, be the size of a literal ice cube, have no legs and be named silly things, you can do a lot on there and it’s entertaining. I hope to get the switch version someday.

It's fantasy Stardew Valley with lots more to do AND it removes parts of stardew that can get annoying - inability to port characters into different farms (ie, multiplayer), an energy bar, options to adjust day length etc etc. oh you can also date everyone at once if you want (but can only marry 1)

Going Under (switch) if you like rougelikes or games with some difficulty. it has very customizable assist mechanics and you aren't punished for using them so if youre struggling you can turn them on and edit them whenever you wish. I also saw someone reccomend wobbledogs and while i think it's better on a computer it still is a generally very fun game, esp if you like genetics and playing god

Id personally recommend A Hat in Time! If you like 3D platformers like Mario then this is just an amazing love letter to the older 3D platformers! The characters are amazing, both in design and how they are written. Every single place you visit is so memorable and the gameplay is so smooth and satisfying! Just an amazing game.

And another one the same devs help make was here comes Niko! haven't gotten the time to play it yet but its really cute platformer in a paper Mario like artstyle with cute business frogs!

Any of the Yakuza/Like A Dragon games, I will shill for them until the sun dies out.

The only things i have been playing for a while is no straight roads and ultrakill

Song of the Evertree for switch is really cute and I never really see anyone talking about it :)

ill try and drag people into my horizon hyperfixation until i inevitably fixate on something new. if youre afraid of stealth games this one will terrify you in the beginning but make you a mastermind in the end. you can play as a coward if you want or charge at the enemy recklessly to beat it with a stick.

you can also make the big cool robots your friends if you want so you do not always have to kill them :)

its a v sweet game esp if your an artist yourself, hitting in those spots about motivation and creation- i haven't finished playing it as i just started (i have. trouble finishing games </3) but i highly recommend it !!!
