It starts out being goofy and somewhat light-hearted with slight hints of something sinister underneath, and gradually gets heavier and darker as the series goes on, but doesn't compromise its original charm in any way.

Y’know, come to think of it, this series reminds me of Over the Garden Wall. That was a really good show with equal parts cuteness and creepy moments.

Okay so, rewatched some eps this morning.

Something caught my eye during "Nothing Good", so I hopped back a bit and paused at the right moment aaaand...

You can actually see the exact moment Glendale swipes the key during The Woman's musical number.

Glendale’s eyes looked weird to me when I watched the first episode but then I looked up gerenuks and realized it’s the markings they have that give them giant googly eyes. [/quote] I actually did not know that could be the reason why Glendale's eyes are like that. I just thought that because everyone else had googly looking eyes, so I just rolled with it.

Also I LOVED Bone, I never got to read the whole series but it totally has that vibe!!

@Doomwyte omg I was totally expecting the Nowhere King to be a horse??? Like to echo Horse and Rider but gone awry, so I'm very curious to see if there is a story about how he came to be :D

i finished it a couple nights ago and just sat there like... that certainly Was A Show

its such a creative concept! i love the idea of a cartoon world meeting a "normal" world! im pumped for more

After finishing the show, I was chatting with my sister, who was the one that got me into the show, and we were talking about all of the things that were left unanswered and speculating about what will happen in season 2. We were also joking about the centaurs in Centaurworld going to the other world and slowly changing into the art style of that world (like Horse but in reverse, rhyme not intended)
