Absol would be a pretty good one, since they'd be able to detect an incoming disaster and start warning whoever they're protecting.

But if we're going for pure muscle, then I'd say a fighting or flying type would be a good bodyguard, such as Gallade or Braviary.

@Hollyshark Celesteela is from the new Sun/Moon games. It's an 'ultrabeast', some sort of pokemon from another dimention or something. I've not played the Sun/Moon games though, I don't like how they removed HMs and gyms, nor how short the main story is. I'm not a big fan of aftergame content, metagame stuff or how comparatively easy shiny hunting is in the new games.

If legendaries are allowed then Dialga or Palkia, they can freaking warp time and space! No one’s gonna mess with that.
In legendaries aren’t allowed probably Infernape, fire+martial arts is a bad combo to deal with, and he’s my favorite of the starter final evolutions.Can anyone tell I like Gen 4?

With legendaries, Regigigas for sure. One of my faves, also a giant hulking monster with huge fists. No one would mess with me.
Or Darkrai, because he's cool and no one would mess with a scary dark ghost pokemon either.
Non-legendaries, probably Lucario? Just cause I love lucario so much and fighting types are strong. Orcutiefly kommo-o cause a dragon bodyguard would kick butt.

I'd want a Bewear because it's cute and strong at the same time. So he can be all nice and friendly around my mates and then throw a mean punch if anyone tries to mess with us.

I'd love to use Hydreigon (obviously) cause it can use good attack moves like Draco Meteor, Fire Blast, Focus Blast, or Fly, and can support itself with Roost.
According to dex entries, Magcargo would be useful. Small enough to be contained, but when let loose, that heat would be devistating. Or maybe Statakata. No one can hurt you if you surround yourself with a living wall.
