Hey, try using a pair of binoculars as a zoom lens! It's tough to hold them steady, but I've gotten some good shots via phone camera! A bit grainy and such, but still decent!

ooh, i believe i do have a pair of old binoculars laying around. thank you very much for the tip! i'll try it out this summer :D

It's a nice one! If you sit quietly, hummingbirds are very bold and won't be scared off by you!
