Otogi is the spiritual sequel to Ayakashi Ghost Guild so like, if you happened to be familiar/played AGG once upon a yesteryear, have I got the game for you!

I do! Its one of the few mobile games that I actually log into everyday! I don't really concentrate on the story levels anymore, I really only participate in the events.

There are only a few mobile games I play a lot, and Otogi is one of them (the other two are Duel Links and PAD, though I've been taking a break from that one.) I love the art and the storylines are usually entertaining enough. I've had a terrible streak on my daily summon though; I don't think I've had anything good pop up in the past two months. :s

I never got to play AGG, but I probably would have liked it too.

Yeah! One of the things I really appreciate about Otogi compared to other mobile games of the same type is how relatively not p2w it is? Like, generally the good stuff(tm) is locked behind a premium gacha that takes premium currency which in itself either is hard to come by (in very limited supply) or you gotta drop the IRL cash.

With Otogi certainly you could drop that IRL cash, but they let you have a daily draw from the good pool?? For nothing at all?? All ya gotta do is set an alarm and log in within a certain time frame everyday?? Like, I don't see that kinda business model in other games and that just makes me appreciate Otogi all the more. Given enough time and luck, one can ostensibly be on the same level as the big boys without paying a single cent and I think that's grand. (Doubly so with the Limit Break Orbs!)


Btw, if you wanna be friends, I'm Ersatz on Otogi! (ID: 943382) I have a Titanium Idol set as my helper at the moment (lb0 sadly), but I have an lb2 Amanojaku in the wings to switch to as soon as I'm done power grinding her (I like having helpful helpers, and Ama's been singularly so dang useful for this event)!

I'm Lucent (1471304) in case anyone else is looking for a friend! I usually keep Socrates up (lb0, 'cause pvp is intimidating) but I change it depending on the event sometimes.

I'm being lazy this time around though since I spent all my energy items on the last conquest event with Bel, and I know I won't rank/get to the level I want even if I spend them all like crazy, haha. :'D

I'm totally with you on the F2P friendliness! It's the main reason I enjoy the games I do play. You might have to save up currency and pick how you spend it a little more wisely, but you can still manage to have fun even if you don't dump all your money into it. Otogi's free summon is super amazing, though! (I got another 3 star today, but it was one I actually wanted for the art so I can't complain about that, haha.)

Depends on how long ago it was, but besides monthly events and new daemons, the largest change is the implementation of pvp (which give you points for monthly limit break orbs, no longer do you need multiple copies of a daemon to max limit break!) and some quality of life changes (just a nicer UI, guild chat filters, some larger button tabs, combine and upgrade magatama option, etc.).
