I did a sparkle-ombre/gradient with a light blue tip on my ring fingers, I don't know how I feel about them? I wanted some type of ombre-effect, but I didn't have any makeup sponges, so I did this by hand. Thoughts?
I don't know how well I did on the ombre-effect itself, but I do sorta like how they came out. I don't know about the accent finger though, I feel like I could've done better on that.

personally i think screws are a lot sturdier but nails have their uses too i guess
i hate using hammers though i'm always scared i'm going to hit something other than the nail >.>

Did someone say nails? *-*
I'm obsessed with doing my nails. I usually use China glaze or Essie, with the occasional Sally Hansen, but my all time favorite color is China Glaze's Call of The Wild. It's such a gorgeous deep vampy brown-red <3 I own two ILNP's, too, Hush (which was posted on the first page. It's such an incredible color ;-;) and Missed Calls. (A charcoal nail polish with rainbow in it, what more could you want :p)
Side note; does anyone else find that Sally Hansen's top/base coats become very goopy and unusable after a while? :/

Oh yes hello I'm kinda nitpicky about my nails. XD I carry around clippers and a file because if one of my nails chips I can't stop thinking about it until I fix it! I somehow went from obsessively boring my nails to excessively worrying about them, haha!
I also grow them out like talons. I really like them that way, though everyone else tells me to cut them!

I like painting my nails when I have the energy sometimes, and I really admire when others have all kinds of cool designs on theirs. Theres no way I could handle half of the stuff that is done.
It looks really nice and for anyone who can do complex colors and patterns: Keep up the good work!
I maintenance my talons often and smooth any jagged edges so they dont catch and rip and then I lose my claws.
I unfortunately have to pick/bite my cuticles and surrounding skin of the nail due to brainweird issues pertaining to aggressively strong impulses that make me anxious and severely uncomfortable when I ignore them for more than a few seconds. This does not do favors for the polish I put on, and any polish that starts to flake off is then subject to the same picking treatment.
I used to not be able to handle nail polish on my nails sensory-wise(I have a lot of sensory issues and it makes makeup and other related things very hard) and it was mentally painful and I had to Remove it immediately or lose capacity of coherent thought and proceed into being extremely distressed for up to half a day after fully removing it.
Luckily that is lessened now, but more than 3 coats or any decorative objects will still do it.
Im still not the steadiest hand on painting, and often have to redo a nail a few times and pick the excess off on the sides for the rest of the day, but they look ok, I think.
My favorite kind of nail polish is black and sometimes deep purple or yellow orange, but if I could find it, id go for dark copper or dark steel color. I dont really have a fav brand I just buy the cheapest stuff that I know stays for at least 4 days and doesnt take hours to dry when I need more. TFW you live in the middle of nowhere and have to put the majority of your money towards college and your 'get out of parental units house safely and into your own place and somehow survive' fund.
By the way on a similar note, dont ever use the wet n wild nail polish if you can help it because it takes forever to dry, it needs far too many coats, and once it has dried, its very soft and dents/gets scratched easy. I used it once and it took 2 hours to dry and im never using it again.
When I tried to pick it off a week later it came off in soft goopy bundles and stained my nails grey for another week instead of flaking/chipping off cleanly like any other nail polish ive tried.
Wet n wild apparently has a good makeup line, but im never touching the nail polish again.
1/10 do not buy.

I love nail polish~ Essie is my favorite brand at the moment. Their nail polish isn't so thick that it doesn't dry quickly and the quality is good and consistent. Also, lately TJ Maxx near me has had the new season's colors from Essie for about $3 each. :3c So I only buy the colors I want from the new colors and I get them nice and cheap.
I keep polish on my nails any time I'm not doing an art project where they'll get all scratched up and ugly. xD I've never actually had a manicure, though, because all the scents in those places set off my asthma. ;o; No acrylics for me~ They creep me out anyway, though, because I have a friend who's always letting her nails get infected from her acrylics. .__.

Side note; does anyone else find that Sally Hansen's top/base coats become very goopy and unusable after a while? :/

@Valoria
I'm not sure what brand I use for top coats, but I find that their nail polishes are quite nice actually. I also think I'm using their base coat, but I got it fairly recently, so if it becomes goopy/unusable after a while, I'll let you know.
