That doesn't make the execution any less creepy. =/ I'm not really into most vampire related stuff for that exact reason, to be honest.

What a great Forum!
I could not choke down School Rumble, so I went the manga route instead. That seems to be my habit when a friend recommends a series...
DID NOT watch season 2 of Darker than Black, however, the 4 episode prelude "Gaiden" should not be missed!
Only watched the last episode of Negima, just...because.
I could not get into the craze of Railgun after watching BOTH seasons of To Aru Majutsu No Index, which reminds me, I need to watch season 3! :D
The fibers of my hands deny me the second season of Free!, but everyone seems to like it, so I will continue watching other shows. -coughOwariNoSeraphcough-
There are more collecting dust in the black hole of Bookmarks, but I never look back!

nothingnowhere Yeah the love triangle with the male lead, her cousin, and Nyuu is really weird. The thing between the male lead and Nyuu is relevant to the plot, but it's still weird as **** even taking Japanese taboos on incestuous relationships into account. She slaps him for thinking of Nyuu which doesn't really seem like a healthy relationship to me.
The entire series just tries too hard to be "deep" and illustrate how terrible humans are by making characters be psycho for the sake of moving the plot forward, and in one case it's a soldier that's pretty much the "soldiers are baby killers" stereotype.
Klimt's The Kiss has no place in Elfen Lied's intro. So pretentious, holy hell.

Let's see....Death Note because I hated the main character. 'Ohhh look at me, I'm going to be judge, jury and executioner with this book. There's possibly NO WAY that could go wrong. Not like I'd abuse it and kill innocent people. No, not me.'
I stopped watching after he made that one FBI agent's wife kill herself by hanging because she found out who was killing people, which included her husband among the dead. Or something like that. It left such a nasty taste in my mouth and even now I still hate it.
Naruto got boring with the filler episodes, which were basically all the same. I thought the series had an interesting concept, but man did it go downhill.
Then Bleach...again, interesting concept, but once it got into the Save Rukia from execution arc, I lost interest. It felt like it was 30 episodes before they even got to where she was right before she was to be killed. That and I didn't care for how the afterlife was-like jeez, you don't find your family and hope that you get into one of the noble houses or something.

Philemon Yeah, that whole love triangle thing was ... Weird, and also felt very unnecessary. Although, there was a LOT of weird things in that anime. Was I the only one made uncomfortable about the fact that Lucy's Nyu personality seemed to have the same level mental faculties as a 2 year old? It's not just that It's also how she was treated while in that state. (From my vague memories there was some pretty icky stuff.)
Definitely agree that on top of being super
OW THE EDGE it was pretentious as HELL. I think that soldier guy was one of the most over the top jerk characters I've ever seen. Doesn't he randomly full on punch a woman in face for... Walking up to him from behind?

nothingnowhere Definitely not just you given her innocence is shown by having her lose control of her bladder.
I don't remember that specifically but he did seem to take an unrealistic amount of joy from hurting others. It's the kind of guy the military would have weeded out before he even started training.
