@Dovalore
does it help if i tell you that all my tarantulas are big babbies and if they get startled they tuck their knees up to their face, and when they take food they do a webby butt dance to make a dinnerplate to eat on, and my b smithi used to stick her toes out of her bin until she got tired of my wife booping them and now she doesn't stick them out anymore

@Dovalore Kinda same? I love looking at em' but I haven't touched any since my dad(who is a REALLY big arachnophobe to the big hairy ones) told me brown recluses are native to where I live.

@Muffet
well, i'm not sure if i'm an arachnophobe myself
but the legs on the brown recluse are really off-putting
not to mention spider eyes in general, but that's probably more attributed to my trypophobia
though, the small ones are fun to watch as long as they don't crawl onto you
they move in short bursts
my team and i encountered this huge spider while we were out in Sumatra
it was literally just chilling and lunging at insects, i don't think it really cared about us since someone nudged it with a finger and it didn't give a crap
this isn't something i usually discuss but hey, why not right?
@Hylozoist
SPIDERS HAVE TOES????
oh my god?
i have no idea what to do with this information but thank you??

well toes in that it's the end of their leg/foot.. they have tiny tiny little hookies on them to keep hold on stuff. some tarantulas have colorful toes that are super cute

this is a sassy little obt (orange baboon tarantula, though to anyone who keeps them it means 'orange bitey thing' - same cheeto puff from my other post), he's throwing jazz hands to tell someone to go away... but lookit those little shiny toes, who can take his salt seriously

(g.rosea)
This is Agnes, my big nope :) She is really silly and scared of her dinner half the time, but she's recently learned that food is to be eaten. We assume she was wild caught and has taken a while to adjust to the climate, but she's doing well now :)
I don't have a photo of the little nope, but he's called Loki and is a chaco golden knee.

@Haymitch
Oooh what a nice photo! I hear you on the food shyness.. my mature spiders are scaredycats. The slings, though - yeesh, they're beasts!
How little is Loki? My slings are molting left and right, I can't believe how big some of them are getting.
