Hey I don't mind, you're bumping the thread, lol. Though a guide doesn't need bumping as much as a sale thread, I suppose.
I have definitely never used IM to contact someone I was in the same room with. Definitely never.

So I have a plan set up for my Coliseum parties, I was curious to hear if you think this might work out well:
- Each trio will have a tank, a mage, and a speedy dragon
- Have at least one dragon of each element, mix and match them in parties
- Elemental dragons will have appropriate elemental skills
- Have at least one dragon per team equipped with Field Manual
- At least one dragon per team will have a healing skill
Anything else I should add or look out for?

Honestly I'm probably the wrong person to ask. I never bothered with the whole balanced party thing. I've got three dragons all set up identically, with Meditate, Shred, Eliminate, Rally, and 2 Ambush each. (And 3 Berserk each, in the vain hope that some day it will actually mean something.) It means I have some trouble surviving the initital three rounds while I wait for the meditate debuff to wear off, but then they just trash their way through everything. I use meditate instead of scratch because it gets me to that 35 necessary for eliminate faster, if one eliminate misses and I have to start again to get enough breath. I get more than enough healing potions dropped to use them instead of healing spells.
I haven't found that the elemental properties make a whole lot of difference. It's too hard to predict what you'll be facing, and it's not like you can switch dragons between each battle. Certainly some areas you'll find have a predominance of a few elements (and it will be easier to tell once I get the enemy percentage for all the areas), in which case you're wise to have things strong against that element.
It also makes a difference whether you're just planning to grind the coli for money like I do, or if you're planning to participate in the ranking battles. A team like mine that trashes the coliseum will BE trashed by any other dragon team, because they're all glass cannons.
I know that's not the helpful answer you were looking for, sorry!
