This is a basic collection of the different forum formating codes that I use on a regular basis. I have included everything that I have learned so far, if I am missing anything let me know below :) [b][size=6][url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYl73-MD0-Q]Youtube video link[/url][/b][/size] To start you will learn that every format consists of some form of [whatitisdoing]words that are affected[/endwhatitwasdoing] if you can understand that is how to start a word effect and end a word effect you are already off to a great start. To become a master of forum formating its more than just understanding if I copy paste that guys stuff it will do this, its getting to the point that you understand why it is doing that so you can edit it to fit exactly what you want it to do, and go further and make your own forum layouts to suit your needs. Next a good thing to remember is the quote button. Come across a forum page you reallllyyyy like the layout of but have no idea on earth how they did it? Hit the quote button and in your own message it will put all of their code! Wow! Just don't send it and copy paste it for your own use somewhere else. Don't pinch peoples art this way without asking but to figure out normal forum formatting I think it is ok. I like using this website to quickly find the color I want. It is pretty easy to do. The max size you can put in one size= box is 7, but as you can see above you can stack the size boxes to make words even bigger! Same thing goes for tiny words. No idea how much you can actually stack them I've seen like 4 or 5 size=1 stacked before to hide pinglists. If you have it downloaded on your computer then you will see it, otherwise it will become something basic like times new roman. So following this don't use the random font you downloaded off the web that one time, use fonts that most people will have so everyone sees your forum page the same as you do. Just put the name of the font you want to use in the font= box. If you are taking pictures from a forum page (that the owner dont mind you taking from, like this one for flight rising assets) [url]https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/gde/2135618/1[/url] Right click on the image you want and click "copy image location" and paste it between the img boxes. [*]To do your own image, uplaod it to a image upload site, I prefer imgur [url]https://imgur.com/[/url], right click on your image once it says the upload is complete, again click "copy image link", and paste it between the img boxes. [*]To do dragon images right click on the dragon and click "copy image location", and pate it between the img boxes. Now this is slightly different from other images, you have to edit the image link a little for it to work. A dragon image link will at first look like this "https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/665763/66576298_350.png[b]?mtime=ZYAVABZJpJw[/b]" I have bolded part of the link because you need to delete that part for the image to work. Anything after the .png you have to remove for a dragon image to work. Why? idk. It just is lol. So your final dragon image links should look like this "https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/665763/66576298_350.png" [/LIST] ----- [code]-----[/code] Cool line that makes nice sections! Five -'s together create this cool line across the entire page. Great for your forum Bio or forum advertising! Just put in the image link and the url you want it to go to as shown above. Can be used to link to dragons, forum pages, or anything else. Just go to your hoard or the game database, find the name of the item you want, and put it in the item= box! How do you link to the database?

I saw in a few Database comments how they list the name of the thing with an tiny picture of said item and i have no idea how

@Yuubi oh wow I didn't even think of that, and I have no idea how they do that! I'm curious now, there doesn't seem to be anything about it in the other coding guides from what I can see. maybe try starting a thread in the help forum and see if anyone who knows pipes in. If you find out how that's done let me know and I'll add it here

I figured it out!

Its under the "Share this Game Database entry" (the button right to the lamp)

the syntax is
