TOPIC | Familiars--Elements, Where Found (List)
I just wanted to clarify some things in the descriptions you have for the Thunder Lizards familiars. Styracavus and Styrantrum seem to actually be based on Styracosaurus, not Stegosaurus. The feathered bird-like things from the same plot are likely based on Troodons or other Dromeosaurs. And Minmis and Iguanodors are likely based on Ankylosaurs and Iguanadons (not brontosaurus), which are both reptiles, not mammals!

First of all, thanks for the clarification about Ankylosaur. I KNEW there was a dinosaur that looked like the Minmis, but I could not remember the name to save myself, and Google wasn't helping. So, I went with description rather than comparison, and hoped it would be enough. I have updated the Minmi descriptions to reflect their similarity to the Anylosaur. The same with the Troodos. Again, I knew I had seen a picture of a dinosaur like that, but I could not remember the name. Those descriptions have also now been updated, and I thank you again for your help.

Secondly, it's been a while since I last checked up on the new dinosaur discoveries and re-classifications. I've never heard of some of those dinosaurs until you mentioned them, and just had an enjoyable hour checking them out.

After googling the images, I can see your argument for Styracosaurus. I think we may both be right: The bone ridge behind the face is definitely Styracosaurus, but the ridges down the back are without a doubt from Stegosaurus. I have adjusted the description to state both those things.

As for Iguanodor, after googling the Iguanadon, I have to agree with you. I suspect that my own love for Brontosaurus (my favorite dinosaur) clouded my judgement on this one, as the body does look a little like that dinosaur...but the whole creature definitely looks far, far, more like the Igaunadon. I have changed the description, removing all reference to the Brontosaurus.

That being said, I do disagree with one argument you made. I stand by the assertion that these creatures are mammals not reptiles. I have two reasons for this: One, they LOOK like mammals far more than like reptiles, and some of the differences done to them FR-wise seem to only emphasize that look in my opinion. Two, though I agree that FR is not RL, there is a school of thought--one that I agree wholeheartedly with--that ALL dinosaurs were mammals, not reptiles, as originally believed.

I do acknowledge that not all individuals agree with this argument, however, and have therefore changed "mammal" to "creature" in the Arlo section. The whole purpose of these lists was to give a quick reference for Elements, Locations, and Basic Descriptions of Familiars. It was not supposed to spark a debate, or worse, argument, about how to classify ancient beings from the RL world. Hopefully referring to these beings as "creatures" will satisfy everyone, whether they believe them to be reptiles, mammals, or something else altogether.

Again, thanks for your help clarifying some things. If there is anything else that seems "off" or misclassified to you, please feel free to ping me again. I want this list to be as accurate and helpful as possible, in all respects, and always welcome constructive criticism.

I think they've been pretty firmly declared birds, actually, but you might want a 'prehistoric' designation of some kind since there's supposed to be more digs coming.
