I'm not really sure sorry. I've only gotten like 5 or 6 in all of my Coliseum grinding. Some people get them more often though.

@Jinxmagic: Regarding your first post, I switched from the falls to the waterway with my lv.20 dragons. havent gotten a moss drop during that entire time (30mins?) So I think it really doesn't drop anymore. I remember it being near guaranteed before.

Do white cabbage butterflies still drop in the coliseum? I did about 200 rounds and did not find any in the training field.

White cabbage butterflies still drop in the coliseum. I just did a little grinding to confirm. They drop from Leafy Moths.
In my experience, from what I have noticed most of the time the monster you defeat first gives you the drops. So try to kill the leafy moths first when they show up. That may help.
