why are there 10k people online, i even saw 11k once??? I've never seen it this high other than when gaolers and obelisks released and even then it was more like 8k or 9k

Assuming a good chunk of them are just bots (so they’re not logged in or actually doing anything) since the site isn’t chugging, last time we hit 8-9k the site kept dying lol

I’ve been experiencing lag for a while now since the numbers have been going up in general. Back when we regularly had 1k-3k users, I never had lag like this. If you click on the number it will take you to the user list, and the vast majority are “guests” and not actually logged-in users. I’m gonna guess it’s bots

Almost 9k of them are "guests," so you're probably right about em being bots. I... Even if they're not doing anything, I'm a bit frightened by the sudden influx... I had lag earlier, but I assumed it was because I was on data + had music streaming in the bg O.o
