...colors the leathery part of SD wings?

I would have thought that at least 1 tert would color that in (or stain it) but none do.
If they make something like Glimmer again, that's a little different on each breed, I hope they include this!

EDIT: since people didn't know what I meant:

^ Solid version, white/white/obs, used Current to show that I'd like it to have more texture than a basic secondary (If fully opaque)

^ Translucent, bit more opaque than Stained, uses Morph instead of basic
Obviously this couldn't be the entire thing, as Skydancers are moderns and have to share their genes, but c'mon. We need this.
(Shimmer, Seraph and Saddle are all close but not quite)
----
Edit 2: I am specifically talking about a tertiary gene, not reworking Skydancers!
I like them as is I just wish I could do this sometimes ^^'

Huh? What do you mean by leathery part?
I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Are you talking about the little knobs with claws that are on the wings?

it would be cool if it worked like that, but the issue here is that the whole wing is part of the secondary, so the whole thing has to show it off, as opposed to tundras where the furry part of the wing is the prim. they just wouldnt make a gene that only works on skydancers of is drastically different on them

*sigh* ...makes sense!
(But they could do something like Glimmer again where every breed has something unique and this is just the one for Skydancers. It's not likely at all but I can dream!)
EDIT: Did I @ you instead of the person who typically has that username? Sorry if so!

yeah i guess it would work best as a tert but i cannot for the life of me imagine them making a gene where every breed has a unique version of it, seeing how much theyre concerned with consistency

Eh, if they can do it on tundras i think they could do it on skydancers. it'd look pretty cool imo

The thing with Tundras is that it's always been like that for them, no matter what gene, since the start of the site. They can't exactly change it for the Skydancers to be like that since they never were like that, and it'd require reworking the art entirely for it, changing every gene and redrawing all the primaries at the bare minimum, and that'd change every single Skydancer on the site. Considering how long they've been around, it just can't happen anymore.
Best we can do is use an accent or skin to mimic the effect instead, like with the site clouddancer one that covers the feathers so you can use a secondary that shows up diffrently.

You can get pretty close to this effect with eel in some colors, although not quite the full color you're wishing for (and not a tertiary).

I think a tertiary that could affect certain parts of the dragon, such as membranous parts of the wings, could be cool, but it would be hard to define it across all the moderns without it looking like just a completely different gene. Glimmer works because it's just kind of "extra things". I wonder what this could look like [emoji=sandsurge confused size=1]
