Hm, after a couple different tests in the Mire, the amount of exp granted does seem random, even after fighting the exact same enemies.
Edit: actually Harpy’s roost is consistently giving me 933 even across different enemies.

Check out
Sylvandyr's spreadsheet and start doing some math. If it's mathematically possible it's going to involve a lot of refreshing to get the right mobs and you may need to do some custom changes to dragons you're leveling it with since experience is also based on the highest-leveled dragon in the party.
