I.... am not the hugest fan of athers.... jail for me i know as an arcanite but i can't help it. That's why they're so low. Snappers are theoretically very cute but there's some perspective wonkiness in their art. If it wasn't totally unfeasible i'd almost hope for a redraw, but that'd basically be the same amount of work as a new modern. ah well!

alright so it's been a month and my views on the poses have changed a bit. just a tad, definitely

I suck at tierlists like this because all of these are so so situational for me. but here's the best I could decide on:
And more specific notes:
- I used to hate dusthides but they've grown on me SPECIFICALLY when they have greenskeeper tert. Greenskeeper is a wonderful tert but it's on my two least favourite breeds and dusthides are the lesser of two evils (/dramatic) but the second it's available on literally any other ancient I'd only use it on them and probably dusties would get a lower ranking. To be honest though they
have kinda grown on me so hmph.
- Fathoms are fairly uncertain so far since they're new but I do really like male pose.
- I love Aether F pose but I do kinda struggle to gene aethers sometimes so I actually own less than I might despite loving them.
- Snapper F is hard to gene and especially dress for me but I adore the actual pose and the one SnapF I do have
- Veilspun and Wildclaw are both sort of halfway between tier 3 and 4 to me, I like them slightly more than some other of the situational dragons but at the same time I still don't really use them
- I SO BAD want to love Undertide males but I CANNOT, they just look wrong to me no matter what, I literally just cannot enjoy them. Which sucks since undertide females and even their hatchlings are gorgeous </3
- As for the other 'eugh' dragons: snapper M is too square and the anatomy's weird, I just really dislike Auraboas, Veilspun and Sandsurge hatchlings make me uncomfortable (I think it's the weird downturned snouts they both have...). Dusthide hatchies nearly got into 'eugh' tier but narrowly escaped as they aren't quite so bad.
- Hatchlings are ordered from most to least favourite. Imperial hatchlings would fit in between ridgebacks and spirals if they weren't in the special imperials tier haha.

Back then, I would have been a bit harsher with some breeds (*cough* Snappers *cough*), but over time, I have learned to respect the appeal they have. Also, I am internally chuckling because I just found out I have a slight bias towards Ancients.

Thoughts:
-F Imp is just barely outside of the "No." tier. I really do not like their pose, but on (very) rare occasions, usually involving a high coverage skin, they work. Veilspun m should probably be at the top of No. tier because I do have one that is a perma, but I consider him a weird edge OC case. None of the others in that tier have permas (including ones that appear to be permas; they are not).
-Wonderful tier I'm not as confident on placements. Many of them are very similar in how much I like them, but there's also quite a few "I really like the pose I just haven't figured out how to make it work" in there despite being higher than poses I have managed that with.
-Apparently I really like unpopular breeds. We'll see if fathom h remains my favorite hatchling before even ridgie h as the hype wears off. Or any of the fathom placements, for that matter.
-How easy it is to make each pose work is not a factor in this. I'm basing it entirely on how much I like each pose, with the exception of faes whose saving grace is the awesome skins they get.

I won't lie, my taste tends to change a lot. Some of my least favorite are only ranked as such because I just... kept looking at it. It's like when you eat a lot of one food that you really like and then suddenly can't stand the flavor anymore lol [s]at least thats the case for gaos/dusthides[/s]
