The Conqueror of the Skies, Bahamut, has known many names; the Dragon King, the Hallowed Father, and the First Sire.
Bahamut, sometimes known by his epithet, The Dragon King, is one of the most prominent summons in the Final Fantasy series. His signature attack, Megaflare, is a powerful breath of energy concentrated into a beam and fired at the opposition, which deals non-elemental magic damage.
How would Dragonkind react to this monster that has some resemblance to them? Would our dragons be able to endure his Magaflare attack or even defeat him in battle?
He is why I love dragons and is one of my favorite summons in the Series. I would love to pit my dragons against him. I don't think any of our dragons have seen a dragon with a humanoid body, long neck and tail, and large wings.

Oh, at first I thought you meant the Bahamut in D&D, or maybe the whale in Arabian mythology lol. I like the idea of FF Bahamut going up against dragons in Coli or something, that would make such an awesome lore chapter for coli and why to train dragons. I think of Emperor dragons as demi-god deviations of Tiamat, too, that could make for an interesting substory.

Which Bahamut? If it's something like the Bahamut from FFXII Revenant Wings, he looks so regal and cool I think he'd be a high ranking warrior in the world of Sornieth.

If it's the FFIX Bahamut though, I think he'd be despised and locked away. That's the kind of dragon to go destroying a city and that's a big no no. Also I flipping hate him.
He's pretty powerful though, so I imagine one of the deities would get involved.

Come visit my lore lair! It's a fun time here.
Something strange is happening on Sornieth. All across the world, dragons have begun to be born with multiple elements. How? Why? As dragons all across Sornieth takes notice, the wheel of fate begins to turn, as one fae's search for her mysterious origins leads her down a path that could change Sornieth forever.
Final Fantasy XIV Bahamut would probably destroy Sornieth because I genuinely don't think anyone would be able to stop him.

You mention non-elemental magic and...given how many of the in-game magical attacks are element-based, I'm picturing Bahamut charging up this super-massive attack except all that comes out is a giant Contuse.

I was talking about Megaflare as it is non-elemental magic. It's deadly too.

There are so many Bahamut's. But I originally imagined Final Fantasy 7's Bahamut. He's gorgeous in the remake. Powerful boss and difficult to defeat.
I choose to believe this is about the whale/fish, in which case I think the dragons would wonder if its edible or should be a familiar, unless the whale/fish came with its fellow world carriers in which case I think the dragons would be more worried about earth appearing in sornieth.
On a more serious note it depends on which ff bahamut! Speaking just on looks terms there might be some raised eyebrows but honestly they'd probably just shrug their shoulders and bahamut would be labled in the same weird group as wildclaws.

bahamut in 7 is like... guardian size.

he'd get thrashed by an emperor, much less a deity.

FF7 Remake Bahamut is like rookie Bahamut. I'd like to pit in Bahamut Zero or Neo Bahamut [emoji=wildclaw winking]
(look them up if you never played the original FF7)
But yeah, I guess it really depends on which Bahamut shows up in Sornieth.
